At Enterprise they have peer counselors if you want to talk, but why not visit and find yourself among peers, meet others with mental illness, or homelessness. I loved being able to assess myself vis a vis others, some aren't doing very well, while some with more recovery are on staff or management. If you stay away and something befalls you, you're gonna with you had spent time during the trouble, gotten advice or sympathy, talked about it in a group or 1 on 1. Also meals sometimes, juice, snacks like Ice Cream, coffee, Lipton, computers, guitars and piano and an Art room, comfy couches to watch movies, grab lunch to go at Yu Shang or Cardenas and use the dining room table. There is a path to California accreditation as a Peer Counselor, dual diagnosis group (I think: let's start one if it faded away), Peer Companions, the Warm Line, an Advocacy group and much more. Next door is Health and Human Services office for GA, Medi-Cal(Partnership), EBT cards from CalFresh a lot quicker than Smith Ranch Road.

Disappointed by the Peer Run Warm Line overall. I don't enjoy some of the volunteers just saying "ok huh huh"..,"now we have to go". I call for conversation. I'm down to one volunteer that I like now. I don't enjoy talking 90% of the time then I get a little tired and the volunteer says "why aren't you talking?" When he hasn't said much since answering the phone. I don't like volunteers being overly serious and asking irrelevant questions when there are relevant questions to ask. I enjoy the one volunteer now who engages in discussion and is supportive.
