I have a son who was a drug addict for 17years. Times I would see him rolling around on the floor begging me to help him. My son was in the hospital 22 times in 15 months on drug related issues and one was a cardiac arrest but he came through.

I had to prepare myself for that phone call everyone dreads.

Narconon help me so much in dealing with the understanding drug addition and what you need to know. My son did the program.

This company has produced a series of videos that teachers can use to educate youth on the life-threatening dangers of drug abuse. In an age when many people think the best they can do is help people "use drugs safely," Friends of Narconon is dedicated to preventing people (especially young people) from ever using drugs. They are to be commended and thanked for their excellent products.

As someone who has been sober for years It’s extremely disappointed to find the Scientology front Narconon in Pasadena. Think of all the kids and family members to either didn’t find the help that they needed because Scientology doesn’t work. Or stay sober long enough on their own determination only to be funneled into a cult at their most vulnerable time.

The Narconon program literally saved my life. As a teenager, I became addicted to oxycontin, which then progressed to heroin. I was in my early 20s when I found this program, and I have been clean ever since.

One of the main things that helped to keep me clean was that it got me to see how I was responsible for my life and the condition I was in. Other treatments I tried emphasized that I had a disease, so they wanted to put me on meds. Come to find out later that there is no test for this "addiction" disease. Instead of harping on this model and how I wasn't responsible, the Narconon program got me to look at my actions and how what I did contributed to being addicted to drugs.

Another aspect that helped with my sobriety was the scientifically proven sweat-out detoxification program (they actually use this to detox the 9/11 firefighters and the victims of the Chornobyl meltdown). When I was using, I would get clean for a few weeks or months but then would get these irresistible cravings. I learned the reason was that the drugs stay in your fat cells and can get released back into the bloodstream. This is why I never felt normal, despite being clean for an extended time. The sweat-out program totally handled this for me after just 35 days! I was myself again. I could eat and sleep normally, but the biggest thing was that I didn't have the physical cravings anymore.

I could go on and on about what the Narconon program did for me, but the bottom line is that it saved me from a life of addiction, despair, and possibly death.

I have been clean for 23 years, and I owe it all to the Narconon program. If you or a loved one needs help, I can't recommend it enough.
