This organization is far from what it used to be, now is all about make money for the organization. little kids selling cookies which is fine, but if they can't sell them all, the parents have to pay for them... and all the money earned on those cookie sells most of it went straight to main organization pockets?...The little time my kid was there I don't remember she actually had a "girl scout" adventure or activity other than just figuring ways to make money for the organization.

This has been on of the best organizations for the leadership and character development of girls.

At the troop level it is led entirely by volunteers, so there are bound to be differencs from troop to troop. Nevertheles, this organization is for ALL girls and strives diligently to meet their varying needs and concerns.

My daughter spent 13 years in scouting and she is definitely the better for it. Scouting has provided her the opportunity to be a part of a plethora of community service projects , to plan and manage events for her fellow scouts and school, and to travel to Europe and Costa Rica.

I pulled my daughter from the Girl Scouts. She was being discriminated on by another parent, due to her Autism. Because NOBODY did ANYTHING about it. My daughter and any girl with a disability isnt safe in this organization. I would find new groups to enroll your daughter(s).
