No accountability. No proactive parent communication about inappropriate student behaviors and bullying. Kids are NOT under control and are allowed to be incredibly disruptive in their classrooms. All levels of administration take the generic approach to handling parental concerns. Not only is this school doing well below state averages for student outcomes academically, but they are not maintaining their own policies on bullying, harassment behaviors, and disruptive students. Although subject-matter teachers are very "nice", they have no discernible power or ability to hold students accountable for ANY actions. You must watch and listen carefully to your child if they attend any in-person classes at this facility. Be prepared that if you address a concern about the treatment of your child, or the disruptive nature of another student in their class, including outright bullying and harassment, you will not be addressed in a meaningful way by any of the school administrators. They will delay, delay, delay, then deflect and dismiss your concerns and hide under the cloak of the "other" students' right to be there and act in this toxic and dangerous manner, regardless of the detriment to your child. They are okay with losing a good student, in favor of keeping a disturbed one. Your child's safety and education are not the priority here, unless your child is the bully and disruptive one.

I love having a voice and teachers that really focus on what my kids are learning. The teachers are all amazing. They really do care that your kids are doing well and they do their best to make sure they are on top of their curriculum and the proper curriculum for their grade level. I have heard of other charter schools who do not help out with even tutoring or adjusting curriculum. Definitely recommend Gorman learning Center.

This review is going to be a little bit heavy, but I really mean it when I say that this school, and very specifically my teacher, saved my life. I suffered a lot from bullying throughout middle-school, and my education absolutely suffered because of that. However, when my mother made the switch to Gorman (and specifically, Mickey Smith), I flourished. I won't lie, homeschooling isn't for every child; but I would absolutely not be here if this school wasn't.

Gorman is an excellent alternative to traditional public school. We started with GLC when my son entered 3rd grade, he is now going to graduate this in May! We have been so happy with the teachers and office staff. GLC has so many curriculum choices that I guarantee you will find one the fits your student. At the moment we have our 5 boys enrolled with GLC.

I personally dont reccommend this school to any students or parents looking for a good school. The staff is not as good as they may sound in orientation. The bullies werent the students, they were the teachers. The one to really watch out for is the "director" of the center Mickey Smith. I had a emotional break down at home and i was hospitalized on a 5150 (volunteer to intake without escort of the law) and she went around the school and told teachers and students to watch out for me because im "crazy". The teachers have no respect for the students. One of the teachers Bailey Myneise, took a shock pen to school on different days and would "prank" the kids. Theres a lot more BS thats happened but i think this is enough to go on. One more thing, a kid there kept trying to sell me weed and asked my sister for nudes over instagram. Some of the kids there are perverted and the teachers allow that from certain kids.

When I first started at this school in 11th grade, I was behind from the highschool and super stressed out abt school work. With Gorman I am going to graduate after doing 3semeters of 8 classes. Finally my final semester I had only 3 classes and got the relax my senior year. I very much so recommend this school. Now I am class of 2017. (:
