Went here several years ago. Great instructors, class sizes, and overall education. By far the best college I’ve been to, and I’ve attended two universities.

Only College in Grays Harbor, which makes no sense to me at all. When parking is full, be prepared to walk far to get to your class and most likely be late. This college needs to expand parking, and please get up to date with technology. This college feels like it uses a lot of old school methods, and seem extremely limited when it comes to online classes and learning.

Despite being located in Grays Harbor and a lot of people thinking negatively about GHC because of it, it is actually quite a good college. I don't think I've actually heard anything bad about it from people who have actually gone here.

I got my AA out of the way here for a fraction of the cost of a 4-year college and then transferred, thanks to their AA direct transfer program, without any problems getting credits to transfer. I would go back here in a heartbeat and will definitely recommend it to anyone transitioning to college.

Honestly enjoyed my first year at the college in the automotive program great instructor great learning environment and a great atmosphere, the start of my second year we got a new instructor and it all went down hill from there, the new instructor made the program a living hell, trying to resolve the issue, I as well as a group of students went to the dean of the automotive program there we where basically blown off and never got a response, we also went to the head of student life who corresponded with the dean. Fast forward 2 months there was never any reply from the dean or student life and problems got worse, needless to say 95% of the class was failed. My honest opinion is the grays harbor automotive program has improved since the removal of this instructor, however the management, student life, and the dean of auto tech will do nothing to help. If you have an issue get a lawyer.

Financial Aid department is a joke. I haven't met a single, competent person there who is willing to help. Needless to say, I went through hoop after hoop after hoop with admissions, financial aid, TRiO, and academic advising, and every single department had me running around, chasing my tail, only for them to ultimately deny me financial aid.... On a technicality? Are you kidding me? I have asked, several times, for a call back. Nothing. The ONLY person worth mentioning is Brian Shook in general advising. He is truly knowledgeable and helpful. The rest of that school is just sad. I do NOT recommend this school at all.

These people are so useless unless you go there in person to get stuff done. I was a transfer out of state student and I cant even unsubscribe the these annoying emails that I keep receiving even though I haven't been registered for nearly a year now. Every time I call on the phone no one seems to be able to help me and they seem so bothered at the fact that I need assistance. They give you such a false sense of security here and its depressing. Must be a great school if you're local, but if you're not don't even waste your time in the harbor. The only good thing I got out of my time here was the memories with my friends. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the Athletic department is garbage as well. So definitely don't waste your time if your a student athlete.

I would never talk badly about a school if I didn't truly feel like it was horrible. I've previously posted about Grays Harbor College, but I want it to be known not to waste your time there. I have had the worst experience attending GHC. In the Fall of 2015, I started taking courses with Grays Harbor College. I didn't have many issues my first quarter. In Winter 2016, I had many issues. Although I achieved 2 A's (4.0) that quarter, I was "mysteriously dropped" from a class and it took the staff at GHC 6 WEEKS to figure out the issue. Once they realized they were in the wrong, it was too late into the quarter to solve anything for me to receive credit for the class. Not only did I not receive the credit, I was also not refunded my money for that course. Because I had 10/15 credits (full time is 15) that quarter I was put on "Academic Suspension" and could not receive my financial aid to pay for things like books, supplies, ect. So basically I got $900 taken away from me between money for one class and the money left over to help me pay for other things while attending there. Oh, but it gets better! I received an email during my Spring 2016 quarter stating that because I was on Academic Suspension during the Winter 2016 Quarter, I could not receive my tuition waiver from the college anymore which was $600. Not only were they telling me to cough up another $600 in tuition, they only gave me 3 days until the end of the month to pay it. Let me remind you: BEING ON ACADEMIC SUSPENSION WAS NOT MY FAULT. Now we're at $1,500 wasted total at the end of the academic school year. I worked so hard during high school to achieve the grades I did and received the scholarship money I earned. Grays Harbor College not only took away my money, but has made me nothing but upset/irritated with them. Whenever you bring an issue to their attention they blame it on "new management", but never take care of the issue because all they want is to make money off of you. Do yourself a favor, don't attend GHC.
