Our children (ages 2 and 4) attended Great Beginnings for only 10 months, but in that time we truly grew to love the school. The teachers are all responsive, caring, and truly seem to enjoy their jobs. The outdoor play areas are fantastic, and the variety of activities throughout the day are age-appropriate, fun, and purposeful. We truly felt sad when it was time to move on, as it was difficult to say goodbye to such the wonderful staff and the excellent learning and socializing opportunities for our children. We would absolutely recommend this school to anyone looking for quality childcare in the Monterey area.

I highly recommend Great Beginnings Early Learning Center. The staff are wonderful and very professional, and they also send you photos throughout the day. This was my first time using a daycare for my 2 year old son and I was a little apprehensive letting him in daycare environment for the first time, but after 2 weeks of adjusting he loved it. He learned how to socialize with his peers, take turns and his talking increased exponentially. He always brought home arts and crafts which warmed my heart. He loved this placed so much that he runs in the door when I dropped him off and doesn't want to leave.

They deserve all their great reviews. Wonderful teachers, fantastic ratio of teacher:child, excellent facilities. Our kiddo does not want to leave when we pick him up- especially if it’s close to snack time!! They give the kiddos such lovely and healthy snacks like frozen fruit smoothies and fresh cantaloupe. The teachers are all very engaged and the children have a wonderful balance of pure play and structured activities and lessons. Andrea, the head mistress, is relaxed, down-to-earth and very easy to talk to.

My two kids went here. Loving, happy and professional care. I feel they have good safety and hygiene practices. My older son went to kindergarten well prepared, and my younger still wants to stay and play when I come to pick him up. Yes, the parking lot is small, but with some patience, it is manageable.

Decently priced child care services , easily located near the highway. I wish they had more parking, or at least the moms who want to chit chat park somewhere else.
