We came from Texas on vacation and had to go to the emergency room not once but twice. Both times the staff, nurses, and doctors were absolutely amazing. The nurses and doctors had excellent bed side manner, they were supportive, attentive, and were there for anything we needed. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We seriously couldn’t have asked for better nurses.

Went to the ER March 20 for hyperglycemic symptoms and a BG 202. Upon intake 176. Was treated instead as a mental crisis patient who was “incoherent, rambling, paranoid” as per ER Doc who then placed me on CO M-1 hold. Refused any medical treatment and shipped to Salida then Denver against any mental health professionals wishes and opinions - including the called in Psychiatrist who did not agree. ED Doc trumped decision and kept it in place. I have now been given proper medical care only to get A1C results showing I have been prediabetic - was not in mental crisis but medical, and although I am thankful for the quick care now, the gross negligence led to a lot of unpleasant experiences and medical trauma. Do NOT recommend.

Well well, oh Gunnison Emergency Room, am I surprised to have crossed paths with you during this ski trip of mine.

We were sent to go here asap by Crested Butte Urgent care. 40 minutes drive later, here we were.

Surprised to say every single person on staff was genuinely nice. I mean every one. They all asked thorough questions to assess the situation. The doctor himself was very caring, thorough, and explained everything in terms we could understand. He answered questions with sincerity and never made us feel rushed while we were trying to figure out which care route we wanted to proceed with.

My stereotype of the hustle of ER would have me assuming the doc would want to rush to the next patient and just say let me know when you guys decide. But this doc actually sat down and helped/answered questions talking out pros and cons with us.

Being the ER there was of course some wait time here and there but overall would say they were pretty efficient.

If you're going to have to give this place an unexpected visit, can definitely vouch that you will be in good hands.

Dr. Nay and his nurses took excellent care of my husband. I am so impressed with how much they listen to their patients. They consistently checked in on him even though they were busy, and because they listened, they were able to get him the help he needed.

I came to this emergency room with a broken finger, exposed bone, and my finger tip practically hanging off. The main ER nurse was awesome. She explained the whole process to me as she was cleaning and stitching my finger. All of supportive staff were friendly and talkative. I was in and out in 2-3 hours. I was charged about $2500, I’m not sure if that’s over or under what it should’ve been.. but it was an ER visit so ?‍♂️

Unfortunate experience for our little guy VS a sharp stick to the leg. However, we had an excellent experience at this facility. The paramedic that tended to Corbin was top notch. His personality made Corbin comfortable and relaxed. Very much an asset to your staff. Everyone was so pleasant.

I was on vacation in Colorado (live in KC), had a dirt bike accident (06/03/2021) that left me with a large wound in my thigh, and Gunnison Valley ER was the closest hospital. We arrived late evening and they were able to get us into a room very quickly. I didn't pay attention to the time of my visit but I think my total time there was an hour or less. The ER physician/RN/RN tech/registration treated us with professional courtesy (my wife and I are in healthcare) and were able to patch me up quickly to get back to my vacation. I was on my dirt bike a couple days later, having a good time. Major shout out to the nurse technician (wish I could remember names, sorry) for her thorough and excellent job of cleaning and wound debridement. I am very lucky to have had this level of care near where we were.
