If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
Hila's studio -“Halo Pottery”, is a spacious and pleasant studio to be in. Hila is super professional ceramicist, she’s pleasant to be with, always explains and always there to help. In the few months I've been studying with her, I've learned so much and I'm sure I have a lot more to learn from her. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a studio to study ceramics. Hila is one of a kind!!!

I’ve been coming to Halo pottery for over a year. Initially, I came to get back into pottery which I haven’t done since high school, and to try to maintain a better work life balance. Coming to this studio once a week is always a highlight and gives me something to look forward to during the week! I’m not always confident in what I make, but Hila is very encouraging and is always there to help and inspire. I’ve taken home several pieces that I am very proud of

Hila is a trained ceramicist, artist, and great instructor who helps her students master the basics and nuances of ceramics, whether on the wheel or through hand building. I've been taking classes for about a year and a half, and each week coming to the studio and working on my piece, guided by an expert hand has been an utter joy, and source of relaxation. Hila hits a delicate balance of instruction and having students take the lead on their pieces. I've created so many pieces that I enjoy using everyday!

Lots of love for this place, and for Hila who runs it. I've been taking classes here for about a year. Wonderful community of students, space is super cute and cozy, and Hila is an excellent teacher. Also a unique and easy spot for kids' birthday parties.

I am just one month in my initiation to pottery and I am so happy I chose Halo pottery. Hila gives just the right amount of information, and let us experiment and make mistakes. We have total freedom on what we build and she is there to advice and demonstrate when needed. She encourages us to get out of our comfort zone and explore.

After I gave birth to my daughter, I was looking to develop a new hobby, and for some “me time”. I started coming to Hila’s studio once a week.

I’d never done any pottery before, but Hila’s teaching philosophy is to immediately immerse you, much as a great language instructor would do. So, she immediately put me to work making bowls and cups. At first, it felt overwhelming but I still got some usable, attractive pieces. Within a few weeks, things clicked, and I gradually gained the ability — and confidence — to make the hings that conformed to what I’d envisioned ahead of time.

Now, Thursday nights at Hila’s studio are a highlight of my week and my kitchen cabinets are overflowing with beautiful pottery!

I was looking for a new hobby, hoping to start doing glass blowing, when I found Halo pottery. I tried hand building 1st, and found I really enjoyed moulding & making bowls. The. I tried the wheel, & found it more difficult, but with Hila’s expert teaching, I soon found it started being easier. I so look forward to my sessions, & what I will create next. Hila is patient, & very knowledgeable in all things clay! Her studio is in a great location, & has everything one needs to become a potter. I love this place!!!
