I took the 6 week MWF phlebotomy training course and it was great! Porsha is a kind and knowledgeable instructor who doesn’t hesitate to help students during hands on sticks and she is always available to answer our questions. The homework was fast paced, but when paired along with the readings and lectures they were easy to complete. I was nervous to do hands on sticks at first, but soon enough I got the hang of it and got so much practice with different methods of drawing blood. I greatly recommend this course for pursuing phlebotomy!

Loved this class! It is a lot of work for a short period of time however Porsha sets everything up so that the homework and quizzes always correlate with each other. While doing sticks Porsha is always there to help guide and educate students on how/why they may have had an unsuccessful draw which is very helpful. I finished this course on November 1st and was able to start interviewing for phlebotomy jobs 2 weeks before I finished the class. About 2 weeks after the class finished I was able to acquire a job with Diagnostic Lab Services as a full time phlebotomist. I highly recommend this course and encourage those who are looking to get into the medical field to start here.

I recently completed the 4-week phlebotomy course at Hawaii Medical Training Center, and it was an awesome experience! Porscha (instructor/owner) made learning enjoyable. The hands-on practice, where we did “sticks” on each other, was nerve-wracking at first, but you quickly get the hang of it. If you’re considering taking a phlebotomy course, I highly recommend HMTC. #32

The class is really fast paced for sure. But with Porcha being an amazing instructor I was able to understand and memorize each chapter! Porcha made herself available for questions I had after school about homework along with providing great advice and techniques on remembering certain modules! After the 6 week course I immediately landed myself a job as a phlebotomist with Porcha's help!

I took 6 weeks program, first 3 weeks was the hardest for me since there were quizzes three times a week, but if you have any questions or concerns you can reach out to the instructor and she’ll go over the study guide with you to help you. It is fast paced and you have to have great time management skills, communication skills and dedication to successfully complete the course. Instructor is very easy to talk to, if your interested in joining the medical field taking this course would be a great opportunity for your ladder of success!
