Beware….These people really hate their jobs and show zero empathy, compassion or professionalism. From the intake specialist to the receptionist with glasses at the front desk, all miserable people. Make sure you have everything prepared, triple check because they offer zero support. Zero support, zero help that’s what you can look forward to with Long Beach housing.

They terrible lazy workers who give you the run around. I agree with Marylou's and several other reviewers after that. They have been trying switch to remote work ever since COVID it's been several years now! Someone need to get it together over in the housing department because this is so unprofessional! Getting paid big bucks to mess up the little bit we work so hard to maintain...

First off, finding this place was like a needle in a haystack. None of the signs are relevant. The ones that exist to show you where this place is next. They were closed temporarily. Nice big sign. No dates as to when the temporary closure would be over when it began. Why they're temporarily closed? Friend of mine spent 30 bucks to get down there cuz he was told he had a hand in his paperwork. Hand it to them in person and they're closed temporarily closed. That is piss poor management. But that's just the start of the mismanagement there. I'm so ticked off. I can't even write anymore. So if you have to deal with the housing authority. Good luck. Say your prayers. You throw a couple coins in a wishing well because you're probably get better results

A terrible organization with several case workers who only seem concerned about perpetuating their own employment and collecting their paychecks.
They do not provide any help at all to the people who they could help the most: people who are facing severe housing insecurity and who have some income, and who would receive a new lease on life if the agency could simply act as a co-signer for them to rent a small room.
People who are about to die on the street simply because they lack sufficient credit or don't have a verifiable rental history to find their own apartment--because they had been homeless or living with friends who are now gone or dead from COVID. These people are treated by the case workers as problems they need to dispose of.
Not that this agency is really helpful to anyone else, either.

A NON trustworthy unorganized organization that will see a mass termination of their employees due to misinformation; as well as misused documentations. I, Rashid Ahmad, have been through six case workers, whom all didn't followed up with me about my status. One of the case managers, didn't even reach out to me when my name came up July 2023 Long Beach section 8 list for the voucher, by simply not using my contact methods. She tells me that it's not her duty to call me and then tells me that she will deny service to me when I ask to speak to her boss; tells me to leave the office not ONCE did I get the help for housing. Been on the waiting list since 2017 while they were not compliant with their work ethics, giving me excuses on why they couldn't complete the deadline for my documents to be submitted. Then my name came up again for the Section 8 voucher; March 2024, the young man that became my case worker didn't submit my information and documents on time (30 days from initial signing up again) which he didn't bother to reach out to me after several emails from me were sent and phone messages were left. Then when I wanted to speak to a case manager again; I get the same case manager whom didn't help me just told me to leave because of me being demanding of him to print out all the pay stubs and bank statements in front of me. She doesn't handle anything. So now I will seek legal action against Long Beach Alliance Housing for suspicious activity of organized favoritism, misinformation, and personal use of people's information to suite help for those whom they favor. I'll judge the individual not the RACE.

My experience trying to find the place was very indulging I had to go to backstreet's to get to the place but I know where it is it's a fascinating building its I haven't been inside but I'll see about it on Monday

The city of Long Beach for housing told me they do not accept persons on disability under 65. And I’m not a minor. So I’m being refused left and right for housing or to be helped to where I need to go and being refused no to housing that won’t take my disability that should be protected under the same law in the United States at a federal level by the constitution and other federal legislations. I’m not happy for being discriminated against with housing.
