Any institution that goes out of its way to take away multicultural and women’s centers on college campuses does not care about its students. Any educational professional who would decide to take away those resources, needs to go back to college themselves.

My daughter applied for the Idaho Opportunities Scholarship and received notification via email and supposedly text message that she had received it. While the email went to spam, she never received a text message. When I called I was told that this happens every year, that their system has an issue with Google and that emails go to junk folders. I was also told there was nothing that could be done to make the exception. I went all the way up to the top. I must say, their system for alerting applicants is broken and they freely admitted that on multiple occasions. The sad part is, I reached out to Gov Little, Raul Labrador AG, and the President of the Board of Education. Not one of these government entities would offer help, government at its finest. The take away is: Make sure you follow up with them, because they will not text you and they will only email knowing their system is antiquated and broken. Such a scam. I will also add that everyone I spoke with at the State Board of Education were downright rude and nasty to deal with.

My child goes to school oh wait did go to school in Glens ferry, Idaho. He's 15. My wife has called daily to get help getting him back in school. But no one calls back. No one there to do there job to assist in this matter. What happened to no child left behind. Oh unless your child doesn't fit there schedule. Or your child isn't absolutely perfect. The superintendent Cody Fisher tells you what you want to hear. He does nothing to help or find beneficial ways to assist the kids. Glens Ferry School has shown us that the intellectual level of teachers and superintendent is exceptionally low. Even the school resource officer is a joke. Thanks idaho and Glens Ferry for nothing.

Why are we still wearing masks in state run entities? Almost no one wears masks anymore. The science is out now let’s stop with this tyrannical approach to necessary areas that people need to go like court, Headstart preschool…. I find it appalling that our state is encouraging preschooler to wears masks and that teachers there are required. HELLO it hinders learning when kids can see mouths pronouncing words or expression. Jerry is wonderful. I have renewed my Idaho State Teaching Certificate many times and have always ended up having to call and ask someone, something. Again, today here I am. The person on the phone tells me to watch out for ... and think about.... and be sure to get....Sigh. Thank you for thinking about thinks that would occur to me later. I have been trying for 10 years to add a certification from Nevada and there is no one who will talk to me. It takes 3 days to get any returned message of any sort. The Idaho Department of Education is a dream to work with, someone answers the phone, is positive, insightful, thoughtful, and sincere and right. Thank YOU Idaho, and thank you Jerry.

My granddaughters go to Rocky Mountain high in meridianYou ruined my grandson with common core math. He used to love math. In his highschool years he was forced to do common core which has no relevance to what he has to do in college as he has to relearn regular math. Now he hates math. Now you are ruining my both my granddaughters. With the new policy of counting only test scores. One takes the test to find out what the teacher wants and gets a low grade and then retakes the test and gets A’s. This is not going to help her in college My other granddaughter does her homework (which doesn’t count). And is struggling with tests. We have had to spend a couple of thousand dollars to send her to a learning center to help her. Now when is idaho going to learn that change is not always helpful to the students future in college or the workplace. Why don’t you interview or survey teacher at rocky and get their input instead of throwing thing at them that are meaningless. Maybe you should realize administration is on a different planet than the students and teachers

Education is important. We should be supportive. Making statewide decisions I'm sure is never easy. Not everyone will be happy no matter what. Thank you for your improvements to our education system!
