I graduated high school this past summer and have been very happy with the help and counseling I received from the team at Insight Education. I’ve been working with them for a few years, and their counselors were helpful through every stage of my college admissions journey. They helped me map out my high school courses from my freshman year so that I’d have all the right pre-requisites completed for the majors I was interested in applying to. They also helped me prepare for SATs, assessing where I was and helping structure a plan to achieve the range I needed to apply to my reach and target schools.

But where they mattered most was helping me find my voice in writing my college essays. For me this was the most difficult part of the process where I’d very often find myself stuck and unable to write. Insight’s counselors helped me break through by working with me through various exercises where I discovered examples from my life experiences that I could turn into stories that provided a full picture of who I am. They are really gifted at bringing that out of you. They helped me find examples that I had forgotten about or would have never considered!

I am now starting my undergrad at my top choice college. I am grateful for all the help I received from my counselors at Insight. Thank you!

TLDR: Purvi and Insight Education are fantastic!

Our family has been with Purvi since my child was in 8th grade. My daughter graduated from high school few weeks ago and will be heading to college in just few weeks from now. My husband and I were born and raised in India and had no exposure in our own childhood to the American tradition of leadership, activities, community service plus good grades and SAT in high school. As my child prepared for high school we realized that for first time we were not equipped to give her best possible guidance and support for the high school. After speaking to some friends we heard about Insight Education and their Co-Founder, Purvi Mody. We met Purvi and enrolled with Insight just before Covid. So in spite of upheaval from Covid, Purvi made sure my child stayed on course and made sure that both my daughter and her parents understood that changes to her high school experience and life in general were opportunities to further distinguish herself, not challenges, obstacles or injustices. To that end, Purvi helped my daughter develop an independent research project related to plants that she conducted in our garage and yard on her own by building small planters, green house and growing countless different species of plants. Great idea for aspiring premed/doctor to learn and practice proper research during Covid. Aside from Purvi's increidbly creative ideas when it comes to my child's high school related choices, she is also teenager whisperer. No matter what had happened in my daughter's day or life, on day they met, Purvi's personality and sincere interest in teenage her life shone through. My daughter always felt heard, appreciated and when she needed advice from an Indian-American woman who was born and raised in this country with an Indian upbringing, Purvi was right their to share her experiences.

Of course aside from all this Purvi is a phenomenal college admissions counselor. Her knowledge of every step of process and her genius with essays is truly a super power. I cannot say enough about how amazing impact she has had on my daughter not just as her college counselor, but also as her big sister for life. My daughter is soon heading off to one of her top college choices which makes us so happy but as mother it makes me even happier that my child is happy and excited with choice she has made for her future. We hired Purvi after some referral from friends and I feel this was the biggest mistake we ever made. She didn’t guide my son based on his profile instead she had a set of existing docs which she was using to guide through . She suggested summer programmes which were very expensive like over 6k which can not be afforded by everyone. Never ever sent parents notes or any document where we could see what’s has been discussed in their one on ones. Essays were so crappy that we had to rewrite all of them and reviewed from friends and family. I can keep writing but hire anyone else but NOT Purvi!!!!!

My grade 8 daughter (at the time) worked with Insight Education as she was applying to two Catholic High Schools, one was IB and one was AP. The IB application in particular was complicated and posed the types of essay prompts that my daughter had yet to encounter through her English classes in middle school. With the help of our Insight counselor, my daughter learned to better understand what the prompts were asking, what to include about her life and how to weave it all together in a way that showed how much she has grown an developed as a student and as the wonderful human being that she is.

Navigating the college process is like journeying through unchartered waters. Insight provides structure to navigate this journey through the method it uses with its students. I've mainly worked with Ajit, and he brings years of experience working with students in order to help them accomplish their goal of landing their dream schools. What mainly impresses me with Ajit is his structured process of approaching the admissions journey, providing feedback for my essays in a timely manner, and providing helpful feedback for the college interview process (Purvi helped in this as well and is equally amazing!). Furthermore, I appreciate how Ajit always makes himself available for his students to answer any questions that they may have and checks in to ensure that they are progressing according to plan. Overall, I consider both him and the Insight team to be great mentors and advisors; and I am thoroughly impressed with the experience.
