In October of 2017, I moved into the neighborhood and had to transfer my daughter to the Hampton School. The secretaries and staff were so warm. They helped me out with the process and walked me right to the classroom where my daughter started her day right away. From personal experience, I am impressed with how the school handled her first day.

My son recently transferred here from Carnell and the culture of the school is 100% better. The teachers and staff are a lot more informative here. It has only been a few week and he is already learning more at this school then his previous 2yrs at his old school.

This school Is an horrible place to go to. I had horrible experience there first I had nice teachers 1-4 then at fith grade while I acted like an innocent child the teacher Exposed me for no reason and said that "your an lazy bum". So as I tried to forget it I could not help but to treat the teacher like she treated me. The place is hell

I went there for fifth and sixth grade – when it first opened (1954?), transferring from Carnell. The desks weren't attached to the floor, which was radical for the time. During the World Series, our class would listen to it on one of them new-fangled portable radios. Once, we went across the street to watch pianist Susan Starr (also a classmate) play the Ritual Fire Dance on TV, at the home of a classmate who actually owned a television set. (The school didn't.) I recall looking out the classroom window and watching Summerdale Avenue being paved, while Mr. Vecchione tried valiantly to teach us. Paving wasn't the only distraction; there was also Eileen Saffron ... but that's another story.
