I wish I checked this place out years sooner! They pick up your child from school. (Ask if your school is on the list) The staff are very attentive to the children!! Miss Lisa the director, is full of info and resources..I love her! Special, is always upbeat and polite when I come in to grab my child. I'm looking forward to knowing the rest of the staff. Which I'm sure is as amazing as Miss Lisa and Special. I highly recommend James Boys and Girls Club.❤️☺️ If you need that extra help...They also accept Urban League Child Care Assistance. Just ask for an application and they will tell you if you qualify for the income requirements. Best of luck. Still an awesomeness club!! Celebrations and learning are top notch!!

Unfortunately my kids had a bad experience. BGC was renovating their gym, so they placed all aged kids together. One pre teen was hitting the younger kids and there was no incident report or actual consequences. My son got punched in the stomach and hit on the ear by that kid. My daughter got kicked by that kid. When I emailed the office they said there was no incident report done and no one got notified, although my son said that the teacher that was there during the incident told him to just go get ice and take a break. There was not enough teacher to kids ratio. Should have been more supervision.

I would not let them pick up or drop off my kids. I was on my way home from work when we were stuck in traffic due to a school bus making a stop few cars in front of us. One of the Boys and Girls Club drivers who was right behind us went around only to drive against traffic to get to their parking lot faster. In doing so he almost hit another car that was pulling up to the stop sign for cross traffic at the intersection. They had a van full of kids. They only needed to wait another two minutes and traffic was moving again. Is it really worth putting other people’s CHILDREN in danger to cut around traffic and almost hit another car with a van full of kids to make it there two minutes sooner? I called right away but reception didn't really seem to take it seriously.

James Boys and Girls Club is not considered a nonprofit because they’re only money hungry. They charge the kids a weekly fee instead of just an annual fee and it hasn’t been a positive place for kids in over 15 years.

My kids love going to the boys and girls club. I like that they are able to help you with transport to and from school, it makes life easier. They also have different activities for all ages. My little one never wants to leave. Great staff !

I love this boys and girls club they are teaching both my children how to be them selves and new skills in sports. This is very important to my family. I love special at the front desk she always greets me with a smiles and helps me as much as I need and invite me to all event's

Boys and girls club James is a great safe place for kids. The staff goes above and beyond! If I could give them 100 stars I absolutely would! Thank you all staff members for your hard work and dedication to the kids!
