Great environment for beginners and experienced jiu jitsu practitioners. Very welcoming and friendly coaches and training partners. Extremely family oriented with a great kids program that I fully intended to enroll my little one in once he is old enough. I was really nervous the first time walking in for the trial class, but that quickly went away with how welcoming and friendly everyone was. You can really feel the strong sense of community from everyone there and the environment that they have created. Coaches Pedro, Eric, and Sarah are great and truly professional. They make sure you learn the skills and details you need in order to be successful and safe while training. They truly aspire to inspire!

I’ve really enjoyed coming to JG. Being in my 40s has been tough to get back in shape. I needed a community and I found it here. Everyone is encouraging and we definitely help push each other to do their best. I have made great friendships and great strides with my health. I highly recommend JG Academy in Lodi! My son and daughter, who are 8 and 6 years old, have been training here for one year now, and we’ve seen incredible growth in both their skills and their love for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Coaches Eric and Sarah are fantastic with kids — they’re patient, encouraging, and make the classes fun, safe, and educational. The techniques they teach are top-notch, and the way they break down the moves makes it easy for children to understand and apply them. The facility itself is always clean, well-maintained, and very welcoming, creating a comfortable environment for both kids and parents.

We are homeschooling with Visions in Education, and they accept vouchers, which has helped our family a lot.

Overall, it’s been a wonderful experience, and my kids absolutely love going to class. If you’re looking for a place where your children can learn valuable skills in a positive and supportive environment, JG Academy is the perfect choice!

Welcoming community of family and success-minded people. Coach Sarah and Eric both teach the students in a way that reaches each one on an individual bases even in a group class. Our daughter started in July and begs to go more days each week! Highly recommend JG Lodi for all ages!

We signed up for a free week trial and my kids enjoy it very much!
I was able to also feel comfortable and loved the atmosphere. The attention to detail was incredible ensuring safety and also that the kiddos are doing things correctly!

The coach came and greeted us despite being so busy which means a lot to me as a possible consumer.
My kiddos are 9 and 10 .
My only concern is the space it’s a bit too small however I am sure with business blooming they will eventually expand.

I was referred by a friend who is currently taking her kiddos and look forward to signing up.

We signed our 10yr old son up (as well as my husband) 3 months ago. It's been the BEST experience. The coaches are top notch. Coach Sarah and Coach Eric are amazing with the kids. Professor Pedro is a wonderful asset to the gym and he keeps the kids laughing. Our son is learning BJJ but he's also learning respect, good sportsmanship, teamwork and determination. He is gaining confidence, skills, friendships and he's loving it. The gym is clean. Classes start on time. I really have nothing but good things to say about JG Academy Lodi.

Although my son is on the younger side, he did a few trial sessions & was a great fit for the kids program. The teachers Eric, Sarah, (and I forgot the name of 2 others) were all very patient with him & able to provide my son with undivided attention to make sure he was able to keep up throughout the sessions. The coaches explained the instructions to the kids so it was easy for them to understand and all while making it fun. My son really looks forward to returning to train and I can’t wait for him to grow and develop his skills! I’d highly recommend JG Academy in Lodi to any one of all ages who wants to learn good strategies for self defense.
