I began Jiu-Jitsu after my mother passed. From the moment I walked in Joel and Megan treated me like family. It's been 2 years and I refuse to stop training with this academy. Joel's mats have taught me compassion and self defence. I am in the best shape of my life, and I have made so many good friends. The opportunities for growth at Jiu-Jitsu 100 are endless. The kids classes are the best in the entire state. If you live in the Wood River Valley, you are doing yourself a favor by visiting this academy 🥋

This is a great place to learn Jiu-Jitsu or self-defense. If you are interested I recommend trying a class, very good place to learn. And a fun atmosphere!

I started my journey 7 months ago at Jiu-Jitsu 100. I have to say that starting anything new at 50 can be intimidating, especially something as physical and as up close and personal as Jiu-Jitsu, but from the first day at class I felt like I was welcomed into a new family. Joel and Megan are great coaches and wonderful people. Joel's knowledge of his art is masterful. Joel and his family live and breath Jiu-Jitsu. I would encourage anyone to come check out Jiu-Jitsu 100 and start learning Jiu-Jitsu, right now! It's never too soon, or too late.

Training at Jiu-Jitsu 100 Academy since January 2023 has been a transformative experience for me. Joel and Megan have been wonderful coaches for my pre-teen daughter who is on their competition kids team. Joel is a world class black belt with lots of competition experience. My daughter has gained confidence and skill from the coaching at JiuJitsu100 and has won lots medals too. I started jiu jitsu to take a few self defense classes but quickly fell in love with it and started training regularly. Joel and Megan are so welcoming to everyone (women, men, adults, kids). They are also amazing instructors that focus on technique, safety and fun! This community has become like

Real good people here. Megan and Joel are super cool folks who run a great academy. They have established the most important thing a Jiu-Jitsu gym needs: a culture of teamwork. Everybody tries to help each other get better. I would trust the people who train here with my life - and I do. In addition to the good vibe, Joel is a talented teacher. He'll teach you why, when, and how, and then he'll show you, and then he'll teach it again, and show it again. Great for those of us who are physically and mentally slow. Bottom line: train here and you'll get better at Jiu-Jitsu, and at life.
