Dr. Mazzotta helped us navigate a difficult transition year for my son from an out of district in placement where he was doing well, back to our home district. We felt lost, scared, and overwhelmed at the time and Dr. Mazzotta took her time to listen and get to know my family and my district. She actively participates in his meetings, asking thoughtful questions. She helped to keep communication open, made sure that we had all of the right data needed to make informed decisions, and followed up with us and the district every step of the way. Having Dr. Mazzotta on our team has given us confidence to feel like we are doing the best we can for our son. Change is always hard, but thanks to Dr. Mazzotta my son had a successful and smooth move back home.

We would have been lost without Dr. Mazzotta! From start to finish, she educated us, validated our experiences with trying to navigate the process with our school district, advocated for us expertly and professionally, and helped simplify the process of advocating for our son so that we could be successful in getting his needs met. Dr. Mazzotta brilliantly helped us to navigate the IEP process in both Illinois and Florida. We naively started the process without an advocate, entering into the situation thinking that our diagnosis would make this process easy. However, that was not the case. Dr. Mazzotta evaluated our situation and helped guide us on how to best advocate for our child's needs. She has also helped us in our transition to a new state. We highly recommend Dr. Mazzotta to families who are beginning their IEP process, or who are frustrated by administrative battles and brick walls.
