KEEN Los Angeles is a wonderful program! I have been volunteering for them since the end of 2022, and it has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences I've had. There's nothing more fulfilling than being bring some joy to the kids that KEEN serves through the fun fitness activities they provide youth with disabilities in LA! I've been able to support youth within basketball, dance, and swimming activities that get them outside and having fun, and it's been amazing so far!! I became a coach for KEEN Los Angeles this summer and it has been a great experience. Having the opportunity to work with kids with disabilities in the community has been a life changing experience. KEEN is doing really amazing work providing a variety of FREE and fun fitness programs to kids with special needs. I love volunteering and feel I get more out of it than the kids do. I have been a volunteer with KEEN for about 5 years now and highly recommend it! The organization provides free sports programs to children with disabilities in the Los Angeles area. It is a laid back atmosphere and you do not need experience to volunteer here. Just come with a positive attitude, patience, and be ready to listen. That's all you need! We have lots of children who participate each week that look forward to being paired with their volunteer coach! There are not many free resources like this for Los Angeles families who have children with disabilities and I'm proud to be a part of this wonderful community!

There is nothing I love more than volunteering at KEEN LA! I volunteered with them for the first time in November of 2016, and I fell in love with the kids and the entire organization from my first volunteer session and have been coming back ever since. I could tell there was something so special about the whole program from day one, and I am so honored to be a part of it all these years later.
