There are some really great professors here at Kilgore college. The 3 years I went were all pretty good and I learned alot and given the opportunity in the future to go back I would/will, once I saved up enough money again. Saving enough cash to go back isn't hard because the classes are all reasonably priced compared with other college classes. 😊😁😖😖

I regret coming to school here. I wanted to play basketball, turns out they just got a new coach 2-3 weeks ago and he brought his whole roster from his old school all redshirts and current sophomores they never posted tryouts schedules. You had to constantly email the coaching staff, I killed it at tryouts when come to find out they already had there roster posted, not a single person of the 4 people made the team

Kilgore College School of Nursing always has one of the highest NCLEX pass rates in the state. When I attended (many years ago) I had some awesome professors. So impressive that 35 years later I still remember their names and I hold them in the highest regard! Back in the day the school of nursing was in the J Malcolm & Katie Mar Crim estate Bldg. I returned for a visit 4 years ago and the gates were open but it appeared unoccupied. The building appeared empty and In researching it’s recent history it appears the college has recently sold the estate to a private party with plans to make it an event center. Makes me wonder what the status of the building is now!

Kilgore college has a laid back and calming atmosphere, lots of dedicated instructors, and staff that always went out of their way to help me with all my academic issues, i enjoyed very much studying there.

People flock to this community college for trade school services that appear cheap but once you investigate into what credits will transfer & the credits that you actually need you'll find that they bloat the required state curriculum which I highly encourage you to simply Google for your desired field. Ran like a used car lot. Financial advisor lines are literally out the door, no kidding. Technology department has over 5 year old computers and software. I had to report a professor to the dean after he stole a concept that I created in the classroom and used it in his off site agency & said I hadn't turned in that specific project and the dean was shocked. My grade was corrected after a few emails. Getting call-backs from administration voicemail left is a joke. Recently this school came under federal investigation into the forced illegal removal of asbestos without proper care over 20 years that resulted in firings & hefty fines. Come for the memories, remember with your lung cancer.
