Having trained across the US and in Europe with The US Equestrian team, I can tell you that Kingsbury Farm ranks with the best of the best. The culture under head trainer and owner, Stephanie Barnes, is one of excellence, fun, practice and
responsibility to and love of the horses . The facility is state of the art complete with an enormous indoor arena with excellent footing, allowing full training no matter what the outside conditions. The horsemanship is second to none. I have repeatedly witnessed Steph take a horse who arrives in sub-optimal shape; lameness, fitness, overall condition and transform him in a matter of months to a vibrant, healthy and thriving individual who knows and enjoys the job.

Not only, has my daughter's riding improved tremendously in her time at Kingsbury, but her confidence and sense of herself as a rider has grown exponentially. I have been fortunate to be a part of horse programs from Virginia to West Palm Beach to England and France and Kingsbury Farm is one of the best across the board including training, horsemanship, facility, care and positive attitude. We are so lucky to have it in the Valley!

Last Fall, I asked Stephanie Barnes, owner of Kingsbury Lane Farm, for help to improve my riding and to assist in keeping my aging gelding in shape over the winter. Stephanie has definitely checked all the boxes with her professionalism, knowledge and efficiently run facility. I have moved from loss of confidence to looking forward to every lesson. She has provided me with skills I was lacking. Stephanie has the talent to impart horsemanship skills into the equation so that the horse confidently understands as well. Not only can she show you how it is done with her own ability, but is able to teach the rider to carry forward for themselves. My horse has received excellent training and is toned and emotionally happy. I wholeheartedly recommend Kingsbury Lane Farm for all training, support and care for both horse and rider. In fact, I just keep going back for more and looking forward to lessons for my granddaughter to unite those closest to my heart.

Definitely my favorite barn ever, it has the best facilities I have ever seen. I especially love the huge indoor arena! And it is such a great environment for both horses and riders and suitable for a rider of any level. But, my favorite thing is definitely the amazing show program, it is so fun being able to compete with such great people. It really makes you feel like you are part of a team!

As an experienced horse show mom, when new show parents ask me for advice, what I usually tell them is that they should make a list of what qualities they want in a program, and realize that they will have to compromise on something. Most training programs are strong in some areas, but weak in others. We have been in many barns over the years, and I have to say, the only place I have seen where there is no need to compromise is Kingsbury Lane Farm with Stephanie Barnes and her team.

The facility is top-notch and exudes quality everywhere. Stephanie Barnes' professionalism shines through both at home and at shows. But what is most important to me is that Stephanie has created a program where high caliber training for the horse and rider is only the beginning.

KLF has the rare quality of emphasizing safety, understanding and education for both horse and rider, as well as having a head trainer who is extremely invested in your rider's progress both technically and in a social-emotional sense. Stephanie is really creating a strong community at KLF, not simply a training program, and is an excellent and organized communicator.

I have never found another program like KLF in all my years of being a show mom, and I give my highest endorsement to anyone who is looking for a program in Sun Valley.

Kingsbury Lane Farm is a good place for horses. I sent them a big young horse who was too fresh for me and Stephanie rode it until her employee Morgan took over. He got consistent, calm rides 5x's per week with good results. The horses get top notch care. It's good footing, turn out, Eurociser and friendly professional staff onsite.
