My son was at a point that I didn’t think he could get to. He was 12 years old, No friends, getting in trouble at school, poor grades, not much interest in things and wouldn’t look at you when you were talking with him. I knew I needed to do something. I started him at kool and within 2 months he started gaining confidence!! I wasn’t getting calls from the school as often and he started talking about his friends at school. It was rough, don’t get me wrong!! Some weeks we didn’t get much of the “homework” done and this amazing team at kool minds would allow us to reschedule so we had more time to practice for another week!!! The “homework” is all tasks, mostly physical and some of it we even got extra practice on because my son thought it was fun!! Less than 6 months in my son had signed up for wrestling, I was getting positive feed back from his teachers and he had more friends then I could count! He started doing his activities at home he enjoyed and gained so much self assurance everyone was asking me what I did to help him!! Last year he joined every school sport and finished off the year with straight As for his eighth grade year. He was on honors room and got awarded for his school sports attendance. Kool minds is more than a tutoring program. They have found a pathway to connect the left and right brains and help with concentration, memorization, and processing skills. He also was able to communicate better with his family. His relationship with me, his sister and grandparents improved drastically! THIS PROGRAM HELPED WITH HIS QUALITY OF LIFE! I wish I had done it sooner!!!!

The kool minds instructors were incredibly patient with my daughter, who gave them a considerable amount of attitude. It was tough for both of us, but she got through it, and she recently made the honor roll! Who knew jumping rope was a good exercise for your brain?  Kool minds cognitive program is great.  The staff is very helpful and understanding.  I love seeing the growth in my daughters.

Our 8 year old (third grade) son completed a six month program with Brainworks now called Koolminds focusing on exercises to strengthen brain circuitry in the four lobes of the brain. We met with our instructor for one hour, once a week. We then worked at home, on our own, doing the exercises four days a week for about 45 minutes each day. Our instructor Amy was great. She was happy, nice and patient. She became a friend.

Our son is a bright, well behaved child but had difficulty reading and remembering simple words. School work was difficult. He struggled to work independently. My husband and I spent a lot of time working with him in phonics. We were not seeing the results for the amount of time we spent with him. Something needed to change because he was getting further behind at school. We did not know where to turn. We were researching on the internet trying to find answers and solutions to help our son. My sister had friends in Utah who had success with their children in this program. Luckily for us, an office recently opened in Boise!

We have seen results! Our son's reading has improved. He remembers his math facts and is passing his multiplication tests each week at school. We work at this! He works more independently now. I am not saying all our problems are solved, but we have seen improvement and he has more confidence in himself. It was a long six months. There were tears some nights because our son's brain was working hard, but it was worth it. You need to stick with the program. I felt like I started to see results between months three and four of the program. It was fun for my son to learn to jump rope and "juggle." He received prizes every four weeks for completing his tasks and this was motivating. This program has helped us.
