I think the facility is lovely and the staff is very professional. Their assessment was very thorough. However they turned us away because my child had “special needs.” I understand he doesn’t hold a pencil properly and needs help counting past 20 but I would think that in a tutoring environment they would be able to provide the kind of help that he needs. He is 6 and going into grade 1. this is probably a good establishment if you have an average child that needs assistance. My child has been in early intervention since he was three, I told the owner that at the beginning of the assessment. I didn’t want to say it in front of my child so took her aside. At that point she should have told me to go elsewhere.

Warning: do not take your kids to this Kumon learning center. The manager is completely inept at teaching and managing. Why pay, just for your child to sit at a table and receive no attention or instruction or help from any of the staff because the manager doesn't know what she's doing. She would rather let your kid do whatever they want instead of actually learning and benefiting from the center. It's no wonder why so many students are stuck at the same level, week after week after week.

At 6:30 every morning, Saturday and Sunday included, our son wakes up. Instead of coming into our room, he goes to the kitchen table and gets his Kumon done.

We don't ask. We don't help. We don't grade. We don't worry.

Kumon creates an environment where he just wants to excel in learning Math and Reading.
We were introduced to Kumon last summer. We thought we just wanted have our son fill his free time with more productive pursuits than video games over Summer vacation. Once we learned more about their amazing program, we kept him in Kumon. We love that he is working towards goals as he'll complete addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, algebra, geometry, and up into calculus, while also preparing for the verbal portion of the SATs.

Kumon works on the reading and math fundamentals with repetition, speed, and accuracy. Honestly, we were worried would get an education to prepare him for life with all the unproven changes going on at his school. Now, we just worry about will he get a hit at his next at bat.

Visited this location few months back for a meeting. I love the location and the center is nicely organized. I know this instructor personally and she a sweet and caring person. I am not a parent or a student at this center but but my feedback is that from the perspective of a fellow instructor.
