For the past three years, I’ve been taking my niece to the Inner Richmond Kumon center, and we’ve been so impressed with the academic progress she’s made. With the recent location change, Clement Street is now just half a mile away, making it even more convenient for me to drop off my niece and get some shopping done. I’m even more excited about our Kumon outings now!
Plus, the owner, Sheila, has been incredibly supportive and welcoming throughout our time here. She truly cares about the students’ success, and her dedication makes the experience all the more special.

We enrolled my eldest son into the Reading program over the summer between first and second grade. In just about six months we’ve already noticed a marked improvement not only in his comfort and fluency with reading aloud but also his handwriting skills. For us, the decision to enroll him was as much about furthering his skills as it was about creating a discipline in the practice. The daily worksheets have equipped him to handle his school homework, which was new this year. To top it off- my youngest son who is only 4 years old, eagerly asks if he too can do Kumon worksheets! Sheila and her team welcome both boys warmly and we’ve been grateful for it!

I am thoroughly impressed with the new Kumon Math and Reading Center in the Inner Richmond area situated at 507 Clement Street. This facility is probably the largest Kumon center in San Francisco and seems to be designed with both aesthetics and function in mind. The center is airy and bright, with a layout that allows children to study spaciously and quietly. The location is exceptionally convenient, surrounded by numerous dining and shopping options making it convenient for parents from a logistics standpoint. I chatted in depth with Sheila Patel, the owner, who has extensive experience and a notable commitment to the students' academic growth. Highly recommended this center for parents seeking a nurturing learning environment.

I have been privileged to have been taught by Sheila and work for her at Kumon Inner Richmond. When I first transferred to Sheila's center, I immediately began to improve my math skills. Sheila pushed me to do more advanced math and got me to calculus-level concepts in middle school. Whenever I was stuck on any concepts, there was no issue getting help from one of the many qualified teachers. After graduating the program in 8th grade, I began working as a teacher at the center and now see how organized and dedicated the team is behind the scenes. Every student is tended to and each lesson plan is carefully curated to match the student's needs and abilities. I have no hesitation in saying that Sheila's Kumon center will teach any student how to work independently and problem solve and set them up for success.

I worked at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Inner Richmond while in high school. It was a great working environment and I loved my colleagues there. I particularly enjoyed working with the early learner students. At the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Inner Richmond, we gave Early Learners a lot of focus and made sure that they adhered to the Kumon best practices and built a solid foundation for Math and for Reading.
