I am very sad to be writing this review - all three of my children have attended La Petite, and we've been going there since 2020. Today, both their Director (who has been there 21 years - the building is literally dedicated to her) and her Asst Director resigned. Several of our favorite teachers have whispered that they too have or will put in notice. I just pulled my daughter, and will leave as soon as I can.

Here's what I have to say:

Ms. Heather and her team have devoted countless care, hours and energy to the children in their charge. During our years at La Petite it was a wonderful place - clean, bright, happy. Whatever is going on at the corporate level is causing some very serious turnover. And...anyone who knows literally anything about early childhood development knows that attachment to a caregiver is one of the most important pieces in quality care. Retaining good staff so that your kiddo can have that attachment is as important as a safe, clean facility or a quality curriculum. I don't know why La Petite corporate has suddenly lost multiple long time teachers here...but something is amiss, and I would encourage corporate to take a close look at whomever is supervising this site and their management practices. To me...this smacks of toxic management. How can you have a beloved Director of 21 years...suddenly quit? Along with most of her staff? Something is not right here. La Petite Corporate, if you are reading this, please call whomever is directly supervising this site (whomever is OVER Ms. Heather) into your office ASAP. They are hurting staff, families, and kids.

Update on 1/21/25: People are walking out. Received another notice of another resignation today - staff person who had been there years. It feels like La Petite Corporate is asleep at the wheel.

To be transparent, my child never actually went here.

She was born January 2022, and we immediately put her on the waitlist, which we were told would be about 18 months, but that we could periodically check in on our place, and families regularly moved up or off the list.

This was one of the top two daycares on our wishlist, though we put her on several.

After they put us on the list, they later requested a $120 deposit from every family just to stay on the list. No problem. Paid it and expected some sort of communication. When that didn’t happen, again understandable likely due to the sheer amount of people on the list, I would reach out for an update. When my maternity leave ran out, my husband had 4 months off but soon we’d need an answer.

My calls and emails went unanswered. Their main line isn’t listed on Google so unless you’re a family who already attends, you have to reach out to the call center to get any sort of contact info.

Worst experience. I NEVER got a call or update on my place in the wait list (it’s been well over the 18 months) and I never got any sort of a refund. Worst communication and business practices.

We ended up at The Children’s Academy and we love it! They had a $40 non-refundable registration fee, but that notice was upfront, a reasonable fee, and came with communication/updates when spots became open. My daughter is well adjusted, the teachers are amazing, and they communicate all items with detail. It makes leaving my child in someone else’s care a positive experience.

We love La Petite!! My son has attended for the last 3 years starting at the time he was 2. Now he is 5 and still loves it, I have to drag him out everyday because he wants to play longer. I was always on a part-time schedule and they were more than happy to work with me. The teachers are great and always really cared about my son's well being. Would recommend to anyone.

WE love La Petite! We have been coming here for over 4 years now, my son started in the infant class room and is now in the PreK class. The staff and teachers are incredible and the work and care that they give each student is wonderful. My son never wants to leave because he loves it so much, and he loves learning. It is a clean, safe and caring environment, and you can really tell they care so much. The teachers and staff are a part of our family!

Absolutely love La Petite. My daughter started there when she just turned 3 month.
Teachers are very attentive and caring. She is always happy when I drop her off as well as when I am picking her up. She absolutely loves miss Ashley and giggles every time she sees her. They do crafts and other little projects. Day Care director Heather is very helpful and kind.
Lastly, you can watch your child via their cam all day as well as check on her feeding through the Brightwheel app.

We have had our daughter attend La Petite for the past 2 years. We absolutely love the place and all the teachers. They provide a safe and friendly environment of care and learning. Our favorite aspect of the academy is the genuine love that all the teachers show towards the kids. Often, our daughter would come home and go on and on about her wonderful day and all the activities she did with her favorite teachers.

We love La Petite Academy! The staff is so kind and professional, and they keep the children engaged with a mix of meaningful activities every day. I love how many updates they provide about my son’s day via their app. My son comes home happy every day and loves his teachers, Miss Kennedy and Miss Sarah!

This is by far the best place I've taken my children for care. My kids started attending La Petite, starting with my eldest, 8 years ago. My youngest who is 5 years old now still attends and loves it! The staff is very involved and caring. The curriculum is great at every age group. I've never had any bad experiences there and would recommend them to anyone!
