Parents, please be aware of serious hygiene and care issues at La Petite Academy.
As parents, we entrusted our son’s care to this facility, but our experience has been deeply disappointing and concerning. On two separate occasions, our son came home with fecal matter dried to his genitals, resulting in cutaneous infections that required emergency room visits.

What’s equally alarming is the daycare’s inadequate and dismissive response to these serious incidents:

1. After our first complaint, we received no follow-up. I had to personally seek out the director, Stephanie Malmberg, for any feedback.
2. Following the second incident, her response was a dismissive “Sorry you feel this way.”
3. In their final email by District Manager Nicole Lippold, they not only deflected responsibility but also implied doubt about the validity of our complaints, stating they “do not have proof” of the incidents—despite their acknowledgment of the issue in prior conversations.

These hygiene failures led to physical harm and ongoing psychological distress for our son, who now shows signs of trauma during diaper changes.

Despite assurances of additional staff training after the first incident, the problem persisted. The lack of proper addressing of these severe issues, combined with their worrisome response, is unacceptable for a childcare facility.

We’ve since removed our son from their care and are pursuing formal complaints with the appropriate authorities. I strongly advise other parents to carefully consider their childcare options and remain vigilant about their children’s well-being.

This daycare is simply the BEST in Omaha. My son has been going here almost 4 years now, and I can't say enough good things about it. I am from a small town where the whole community participates in raising the children, and this daycare feels like home. Lisa and her staff are all really great. I have NEVER seen them upset, frustrated, or rude towards any parent or children- and this is saying a lot for someone who works with children all day. They really are the nicest and have the most patience I have ever seen! I feel comfortable going to Lisa or her assistant director, Carissa about anything. My son absolutely loves going to school every day, he even asks to go on the weekends (and that's saying a lot because I am a fun parent). Every time I walk in the door the teachers are all actively engaged with the children. My son brings home cute art projects every week and you get to see what they are doing all day long since we now get email updates with pictures and notes on what activities they are doing and what they are learning for the day. My son has been in the toddler room, 2's room, preschool room and pre-K room; there is not a single teacher that I don't like- they are all amazing in their own ways. If you are looking for a daycare/preschool, look no further- because this is the place.

My kids love this daycare! The teachers are so nice and friendly. Ms. Kinsey has taught my daughter so much and she adores all her students. Ms. Christy was her first teacher and made the transition from staying at home with mom and starting daycare very easy for her. Ms. Michelle makes all the kids delicious and healthy food. Ms. Lisa is very approachable and always willing to help. I would recommend this daycare if you're looking for something flexible. They always help if my schedule changes. Keep up the great work!

My daughter's have been attending La Petite for over a year now and they love it there! The director Mrs. Lisa is always actively involved and invested in the children. The teachers are great and are always teaching my children important things they need to know for their age.

My daughter went there when she was little and they did an amazing job with her. 8 years later I took my son to the same place and he is in love with the daycare with the teachers and it's just all around an amazing day care. The level of care that they show each kid is amazing. Highly recommend this daycare to anyone I know

My children have had a wonderful experience in their time spent at La Petite. I have deep roots with this location as I attended there as a child, then worked there while in college and now my children attend there. Being able to bring my children to La Petite has been a saving grace for my family and me. We haven't had great experiences with other local daycares and I immediately knew this was the place they needed to be. The staff are all very responsive to my questions and my child's needs. I have a child with significant medical needs and anytime he is struggling or having an asthmatic flare up, they follow his medical plan and let me know right away. My children have developed close relationships with several staff there. They love coming to "school" now and can never leave without hugging Miss. Carissa and Miss. Lisa at the front desk. My children have learned so much during their time there. Lisa H recognized the opportunity to move one of my sons (I have twins), to another classroom to help him be more successful and it has worked wonders for his behaviors and desire to learn new things. Any concern I have, is immediately addressed and handled appropriately. I feel like my children are very safe here and I wouldn't trust any other center to take care of my children. My children are happy at drop off, and sometimes don't even want to leave at the end of the day! I don't know what I'd do without the amazing staff being such a big part of my family's life! I highly recommend anyone to bring their child here. You won't be disappointed!

La Petite has many such a blessing to my three kids and I. They absolutely love it here. The staff is very caring, they pay great attention to even small details regarding my children. They go above and beyond to make sure my kids are well taken care of emotionally and physically. I love the summer programs they have for the school aged kids. They look forward to summer all year because of all the field trips and activities the staff put together.

All 4 of my children have gone to this La Petite. My two older girls will still say how much fun they had when the were younger. My 4 year old son would rather go to daycare than be at home. My youngest son is 18 months old so knowing he is at La Petite it makes it easier to go to work because I know he is in good hands. I can say nothing but good things about La Petite. All the teachers and the director are fabulous!!!
