There aren’t enough positive words to describe our sailing with Captain Kevin (there are 2 Kevins). We sailed out of Redondo for a private sunset sailing and it was absolutely amazing. He lets you participate as much or as little as you want and we decided to split the difference. We learned a little about sailing, saw some wildlife, and soaked in some Southern California ocean vibes. Kevin will ask what kind of music you want and let you scoot up (or down) the coast for a couple hours. If you’re looking for something unique to do in LA, this should be at the top of your list.

I have been a member of LA Sailing for almost two years and highly recommend the club. I was searching for a ways to get back on the water after not having been on a sailboat for years. And this was the perfect solution.

The captains (Kevin and Kevin) are knowledgable, professional, and friendly. And I found the other club members to be very open and welcoming when I first joined. This club provides the perfect way to learn and enjoy sailing in a very relaxing manner. You can do as little or as much as you want. Some days I prefer to sit back and just enjoy the beverages provided on board, the scenery, and the marine life (have seen whales and many, many dolphins!)...and on other days you can focus more on learning to sail by taking the helm, raising the sails, and adjusting them through tacks and jibes.

Lastly, I appreciate the emphasis on safety both during and in preparation for each sail.

Going out with LA Sailing has now become the highlight of my week!

What a wonderful experience!!! This was my first time learning to sail and Kevin did an incredible job at guiding us through each process. He gave us so much great info and it was such a blast! I highly recommend LA Sailing and I will be back for many more!!

My wife and I went out on the water with a small group today, and we had a great time. Our captain, Kevin, was very patient, calm, and informative. I highly recommend sailing with LA Sailing if you'd like to learn sailing in a comfortable environment, or even if you'd simply like to take a fairly leisurely trip out on the water while learning a few things. The team seemed more than happy to learn each person participate at their own pace.
