I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Lighthouse Childcare! As a parent of a 14-month-old and a three-year-old, leaving my children in someone else's care can feel daunting. However, the incredible teachers at Lighthouse make all the difference. Both my son and daughter started in the infant room with hands down the best teachers (Mrs. Martha - 20+ years experience here, Mrs. Sheila - 20+ years - just retired- missed greatly),
Mrs. Morgan & Mrs. Macie) From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew our children were in the best hands, they exude so much love and care in these infant rooms - truly a value add to a anxious new mom going back to work.

The teachers are not just caregivers, but truly special individuals who create a nurturing, fun, and safe environment. My three-year-old comes home excited about his day - especially about how much he LOVES his Mrs. Twanna & Mrs. Kara & still talks about Mrs. Sheila and I’ve noticed tremendous growth in his social and cognitive skills. My 14-month-old is always greeted with warm smiles and endless patience, which gives me such peace of mind.

The attention, kindness, and love these teachers pour into each child are evident every day. They go above and beyond to ensure that not only are the children happy and engaged, but parents are well-informed and confident about their little ones’ care.

Having such dedicated teachers makes our experience at Lighthouse truly exceptional, as mentioned above my children’s teachers put their heart in their job and it’s priceless. It’s an amazing feeling knowing my children are growing and thriving, all thanks to the wonderful care and expertise of this team. We couldn’t be happier with our choice! Thank you for taking care of our teachers so they can take care of our babies.

Our previous daycare had to close abruptly and lead us to this gem. They have been taking care of my son for a little over a year and I could not be more pleased! Amanda and Hannah are AMAZING! Sheila, Martha, Ali, Jayden, Tina, Kelsey, Kara and Becca (I may even be missing a few) have been wonderful teachers. They all make sure I'm fully informed and my son is growing daily. When I received some life-changing news, they rallied around me in ways I could not have imagined. It truly takes a village and I'm so blessed to have found mine. If you are considering Lighthouse for childcare, DO IT!!! šŸ’œ

EDIT AS OF 2/7/24- The owner, Marcus Brooks, reached out to our family personally and immediately acted on our concerns, implementing new protocols based on our experience. Thank you, Marcus, for your due diligence and genuine care for the facility and current families in attendance. I wish our experience was different, however, I truly believe the owner is making necessary adjustments to improve the current status of Lighthouse Academy with the best interest of the children at the forefront of these changes.

We lasted 4 days. When our 5 month old started at this facility, we had very high hopes. In the infant room, there is only 1 qualified teacher. The other morning infant teacher, Miss Ali, is the director's daughter, who also has a child in the infant room. How is a parent supposed to bring issues forward in confidence knowing a staff member is directly related to the director of the facility? This is a direct conflict of interest.
The director admitted the new staff had not completed their safe sleep training prior to being left alone in the classroom with infants. This is unacceptable, and no staff should be allowed to be left unattended in any childcare facility without adequate training completed.
My son was picked up at the end of the day on multiple occasions with a dirty/soiled diaper. The bowel movement was crusted to his bottom, being obvious it had been a while since his last diaper change. Another instance, I picked him up mid-day and he was in the same diaper as he was when I dropped him off 3 hours prior (different pattern/design diapers, so this was obvious). The staff logged a changing at 10:20am, which is a direct falsification of accurate record of events. His diaper was never changed, and the staff deliberately lied about it on the Procare app. I refuse to believe his diaper was checked at 10:20am and it was completely dry, when it was completely soaked at 11am upon arrival for pickup. No child should be left in the same diaper for 3+ hours.
How am I supposed to leave my son with a facility for 8+ hours a day when I can't trust they are properly caring for my child or have at minimum basic childcare training? At drop off, the staff was playing the song Birthday Sex by Jeremiah in the infant room while the director was present. I find this to be completely inappropriate, and clearly demonstrates a lack of care on the director's end if she takes no issue with this. When I told the facility it was our last day, the director walked to her office and didn't ask for an explanation or attempt to show any care or compassion. What happened to Director of the Year?
Our short time at Lighthouse Academy was a disappointment to say the least, and overall an incredibly huge waste of time and unnecessary expense. If you expect basic quality of care for your child, especially if your child is an infant, I recommend looking elsewhere. Do not trust your child's care with minimally/inadequately trained staff who have quite literally never changed a diaper prior to their employment with Lighthouse Academy.

I have had my son in Lighthouse for about 3 years now and really love it. He has had some amazing teachers along the way and Amanda the director is incredible!
Having a child on the spectrum it is hard to know sometimes how he is doing or what may he going on with him but he has the greatest support system outside of home I could ask for. They love him and understand the challenges he sometimes faces and do everything possible to meet his need and to communicate with me.
He will be going there for many years to come!

This daycare is great! All the workers there interact with all the kids not just their class. All the staff is friendly and always speaks to you when you walk in. The director, Amanda and assistant director Hannah are wonderful. They will work with you to meet the needs of your children, whatever that looks like. Highly recommend!

I have two girls attending Lighthouse Academy. One in PreK and another in the Schooler room. Both of my girls enjoying their time there and never want to leave. Teachers are sweet and informative about their days. What I like about this daycare compared to others around, is that they always host family events and tons field trips for the kids. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for care. The Director and Assistant Director are always on top of communication and answer any questions that I might have.

My daughter has been here since she was 3 months old and just turned 1 last week. We could not love our Lighthouse family more! Mrs. Martha in the baby room is like a second mom to our girl and she is so excited to move up to the next class with her friends. I recommend LHA to anyone looking for care for their little one!

This daycare is dirty. Do your research! They are definitely not Texas rising star and they are unprofessional and when I tried to talk to the OWNER not director, he wouldn’t even call. So do your research. I transferred my children to a daycare where the children are cared for.
And I have doctor’s notes showing that they were getting sick from this daycare. I am reporting them. Because the children there, they need a voice. I also am reporting them because they have been lying about a lot. And I NEVER signed one incident report when my daughter’s finger got broken at the daycare. And the orthopedic doctor has note of this and I have submitted it to the proper authorities to hold this place more accountable. Bullying concerned parents is not okay! Children are important and deserved to be safe and cared for, both mentally, physically, and emotionally. And deserve to have a clean facility.

After no response. Now the owner wants to continue to lie about who I am.
I have texts from
His staff of how nice I am. And for him to say these things is absurd. I do not appreciate him lying and it was his director who yelled and used vulgar language towards me. I never said I was an attorney and I have employees who have now left that facility who will say the same. He is no professional and I have emails and texts messages as well from
Mr. Brooks. And with dates on it and it all correlates after I made this review and I have screenshotted this because he is trying to slander me. And I do not appreciate that. I asked him to fix the problem but he is never there at his school but he did go to Hawaii. Plenty of his old staff couldn’t handle being under his director and I have said my peace and I’m at peace with my review and I stand by it. People who know me, know what you said is complete false. Including pastors and personal friends. I am not a vulgar person or spiteful. And even now I pray you actually fix the issues in your daycare before a child seriously is injured because I was never given any incident reports. And the child’s father only picked up on his days
I am primary custodial parent and I’m a darn good mother. I will not sit by and let you bully me or lie about me and try to say I made staff cry. And I have a unique signature so I will confirm whether I signed any incident reports because my youngest daughter was bite by other children there and NO INCIDENT REPORT. At her other daycare I was given reports to both myself and her dad so they covered all basis and it was for any incident. You have little lives in your hands and they deserve better! And I have my daughters medical records showing she was getting sick at your daycare and the attorney I work for she can also attest because I had to miss several days at work due to her being sick a lot! And with medical records showing that her sickess is daycare related and some of them from
Feces which I have proof that the children’s restrooms were filthy! Even my 12y who was going there complained to me about the dirty toilets and no privacy! And I will allow whom ever to speak to my children so they can get accurate information! And yes, I too, am pleased with their new school! And my youngest daughter has not got sick once since being there! And the food is cooked fresh!
