I have been a Montessori teacher in Maryland for the past 10 years. Since moving to Idaho I have been involved with Lighthouse Montessori school in a number of different capacities. I can say without reservation that Lighthouse is one of the finest Montessori schools I have ever seen. The facility is absolutely beautiful, offering outdoor experiences and an educational environment that you will not find in any other school in the area. The staff is outstanding--caring, creative, and professional. Each child's needs are carefully addressed and their entire person is nurtured. You simply will not find a better learning environment than Lighthouse Montessori.

Lighthouse Montessori Farm School is everything we've been looking for! The school, situated among 40 beautiful acres of trees, fields and orchards, provides a unique opportunity for learning to take place outdoors. The children get to help care for animals, raise a garden and explore nature. It's truly amazing!

The teachers and staff at LMFS are exceptional! We moved to the area in the middle of the school year and the teachers made sure my son felt comfortable and secure in his new surroundings.

We have had such a positive experience with LMFS that we have chosen to enroll our daughter this Fall!

We looked for a school that both our children could attend (we have a 3.5 yr. old and a 2 yr. old). Lighthouse has Early Childhood and Toddler classes. The toddlers don't have to be fully potty-trained either. Both our boys LOVE LOVE LOVE their teachers and love going to school. The Montessori learning style has worked out wonderfully. The teachers and front office are all involved both with the students and parents. Plus there is a drop off lane where the teachers get the children in and out of the vehicle. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience with Lighthouse Montessori. If we could take them with us when we move, we'd keep them!

We are developing a Montessori school in another part of the state. While we were in Idaho Falls, we dropped by (unexpectedly) to see what this school was all about. I can't even begin to describe our astonishment with Laurie and her hard work. She has created a community of well educated and confident children. Older children (we visited the 6-9 classroom) would confidently introduce themselves and seamlessly complete their work while also introducing it to us. They were working well above k-12 standards for their age. They had no idea we would be visiting that day, but Laurie welcomed us and gave us a tour of her school and an introduction to her Montessori students without hesitation. I wish I lived in Idaho Falls so that my older kids could work with Laurie. I am excited for our school to open and I hope we can live up to the standards of Lighthouse.

My son goes here and we just love it! It is more than a school, it is a family. I love the Montessori Method and my son loves going to school. Why would you choose child care when you can have your child in school for about the same price? I would recommend Lighthouse Montessori to any family looking to help their child succeed from an early age!

The teachers here really are special, and they do a great job. The facility is a wonderful, safe, warm environment that feels more like a nature education center than a school.

My complaints were how things were handled during the COVID spring. We felt like they dropped the ball with our son who was there during that time. I’m also frustrated how they wouldn’t get back to me when I requested information about their preschool program.

This is a wonderful school. The teachers are very attentive and informative. My child came home every day with something new learned. They are nicely structured and have "jobs" for the children to do that are actually teaching mechanisms. I would recommend this school to anyone.

I have a two-year-old and a five year-old attending here. The atmosphere is very warm, friendly, and loving. My kids feel so comfortable and they're learning so much! Can't say enough good things about this school and the people who work here. An amazing environment and perfect for my kids.
