Very rude front office and open enrollment staff. I was never informed that my younger two children would be split up from their other two siblings and placed at a new school that is 25 minutes away from me. Total drop off/pick up time would be 40 minutes with traffic. Upon attending open house at the school in our boundary I was informed of this decision that was made without my knowledge. Never received an email, letter or any type of notification on parentsquare. Neither was I the only person that was uninformed as the lady that answered the phone said they had been dealing with a number of calls from parents in regards to this issue. I was told multiple times there was nothing they could do to help me and I just needed to put my kids on the bus, when I let them know I appreciated but was uncomfortable with my children riding the bus they basically said "oh well we dont care!". Words cant explain how upset I am at this situation, how RUDE lesd district staff are and how uninformed they leave parents. The lack of professionalism at lesd has gone down to zero over the years. And this is coming from a parent who has volunteered many hours of time, helped with additional supplies and even donated almost 100 coffees and drinks to staff for Teacher Appreciation week for multiple years. Shame on you LESD!!!!!

I have been trying to tell the staff that there's a parent that keeps using my phone number that I have had for over 4 years now. I do not have any children that attend this school or any school in the PHX area. I am not sure if I am the only that has to deal with this. At times I even get text messages and calls regarding their kids and school announcement's.

Where do I even begin of how horrible the school district is. I enrolled my son and L Thomas Heck and inform everybody that he had ADHD and ODD and was coming from an abusive household from another state. During the school year he was talked down to by his PE teacher and kicked out of the class and put into an intermediate band class from which he had no experience without my consent. And near the end of the year he was assaulted three times by the same student throughout the day. You would think that when does got up to the office I would be called and informed. The only phone call I got was from the school nurse saying that my son had been injured when he was assaulted by another student. I still never received a phone call from staff about this incident. And when I informed the actual school district or who is above the principal there was no follow up for me done about what would happen to that student or to make sure that my son was in a safe environment. My son wanted to go back there for the friends that he finally made and for some reason he still likes the school but what a surprise he got denied for behavior. The only behavior that needs to be made accountable for our the lack of actions and safety for my child in your school district. My son may have had some behavioral issues but they were corrected by medications when I finally was able to get him on my insurance and his behavior drastically improved. I usually say that teachers don't get paid enough but for this school district and that particular school you people dont deserve anything extra considering the risk you put my son in.

Amazing teachers! To all the parents upset about distance learning, we all work. You aren’t the only ones dealing with challenges here. You have to figure it out. It’s not the teachers or districts job to find suitable childcare for your child just because you don’t get to have free daycare anymore. The well being of the staff and teachers is more important than you being upset about having to get a babysitter or actually teach your own child. We are all sacrificing here. Figure it out

Absolute B.S. that all kids must do distance learning. My wife and I have to return to work. So if I stay home again from work I should be getting paid for helping my child learn not the teachers. Virtual teaching does not help kids in lower grades or those with learning disability. You all got your Red4Ed now do your job and teach in person.

My son has been attending this school for the past two grades now. I absolutely love the teachers he has had so far (Mrs. Merrbaugh and Ms Dubyak) and Mrs. Hopper, the Principal, is a very nice lady as well. I am very thankful that my son has been given the opportunity to attend here!

District office staff is horrible. I called to ask registration questions and the lady was so rude before she hung up she called me a blonde to another staff member that was working there. I’m sorry I don’t work in your profession as a school registrar and I have questions that should be easy for you to answer. I’m sorry you have to do your job and answer phones and actually give people information. I’m sorry I probably took you away from your social hour. I’m Hispanic and I’m a brunette not a blonde. She sounds like your typical entitled… never-mind.. Get a new job that doesn’t allow you to deal with the public. This job is not it for you.

I love this school district. My 2 boys have been in the litchfield school district since before kindergarten. Oldest son had a learning disability and so each problems and they worked side by side with him in their pre school when he was 4 to prepare him for kindergarten. They continue to give him the help he needed every year after and last year he tested out of the learning disability classes. He pulled (A)s and (B)s last year too so he wants just barley passing he made honor roll. He is going into 4th grade now. I'm so happy with this district and Especially Verrado elementary in this district. Thank you.
