Owner Dave is very unfriendly. Said I couldn’t park there because I was eating first then going to his store. I told him I’m planning on shopping but the family and I needed to eat first.
I needed a bunch of rigging and gear for a trip and he said it didn’t matter I had to move my vehicle even though I was the only one of 3 vehicles parked out of 30 spots to park.

I was respectful and even asked if I can I buy what I need first while my family sits to eat next door. Buying your merchandise, giving you business and then will I be able to park here and still said no.

Luckily the church was polite enough to let me park in their parking lot.

Not sure if he’s bitter or full of resentment. I’m an easy going guy, I will move, but if I’m giving you business I thought I would be able to park there. Terrible service and very unprofessional. His employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Sad to see an individual in business who has it out to build his ego rather than his company.

I had broke a spring on my back country ski binding making the skis unusable. I called when the opened to see if the had a replacement spring and they said not sure but come by about 10 and our ski technician will see if we have a replacement or something similar to get you going. Stopped by they were busy but took time to look through their for replacement part. At the same time Collyn the ski tech took my ski downstairs to see what he could do. I thought I was out of luck when they didn’t have a replacement. Went downstairs to grab my ski and Collyn was working on it right away said he would get it fixed and give me a call shortly when it was ready. About an hour later I got a text that my ski is ready. I am grateful for their service and expertise. I will definitely supporting Mammoth Mountaineering Supply in the future and you should to if your looking for a great selection of quality gear and a knowledgeable staff.

The staff were super helpful and insightful when I was looking for new backcountry telemark skis. They also helped my girlfriend pick out a killer pair of telemark skis to practice on and she loved them. MMS has an awesome selection of all kinds of gear from climbing to skiing to mountaineering (I got my trail runners at MMS in the summer too). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for outdoors/backcountry gear or rentals.

Excellent experience buying cross country skis from them. The folks are really knowledgeable and their selection of skis is much wider than anywhere else in Mammoth. They also gave me a 20% discount for buying a full set.

Sam was extremely helpful when I came in w a puncture in my thermarest, he took time to help me repair the puncture which was super appreciated and some of the best customer service! They had lots of different repair kits and everyone seemed knowledgeable and friendly, v grateful 🤩
