Not sure how to feel about this place yet my son was going to a ABA center previously and I seen a change in him. w/ marigold it’s a big transitions since it’s not technically 1 on 1 therapy but a group setting (which I was informed prior to enrolling him). I was excited about this because it prepares him for an ISD setting… Overall everyone is nice but the communication is poor, when I try to get insight about my son I get the same answers “good”, “ok”, and “great” from most of their staff NOT ALL some staff members really give me insight on my sons day and I appreciate that.

I am still waiting on speech therapy for my son, he was recommended for OT/ST by the Supervising BCBA November 18th. When following up, we were waiting on my son’s doctor to sign the referral but according to the front desk secretary manager, “it’s the holidays and my son‘s doctor’s office haven’t got back with her”

When I followed up with my son’s doctors after Thanksgiving, they informed me they had just received the referral and signed it and sent it over” from there I had to call while in the doctors office to confirm with the front desk secretary manager staff at marigold she received it. & she informed me “it just arrived in her inbox”

OT reached out to me immediately and informed me what she will be working on with my child. OT’s communication was great and very thorough. I appreciate her.

Currently here it is over a month later and I still haven’t heard anything from speech when reaching out to the secretary, she let me know that “The therapist is to reach you when she has the time to evaluate my son”

Now my husband picked up my son 12/30 and I had him ask about speech therapy the secretary informed him, speech therapy has evaluated my son and that they’re waiting on a referral for speech therapy? and that’s why I had him ask because that doesn’t even make sense and at this point, I’m annoyed.

For my son sake im going to give this place the benefit of the doubt and give them a chance to do their job since it is the holiday season and people tend to move slow around this time of year. I’m going to wait the six months to see if there’s any change with my son as recommended.
