This is a great service for the seniors of Marin City. The doors of the Marguerita C. Johnson Senior Center opened on August 28, 1988. Funds for construction of the facility were provided by the California Senior Bond Act. Through efforts of the Marin City community agencies and volunteers, The Marin City Community Services district was able to submit an application for the needed funding.

The Marin City Senior Center has been around for over 20 years. It has been a constant and consistent community resource. The facility is also available to rent for special events. I have used it a couple of times for family reunions.
