Was here for the train show and had a great time. Love the art they have displayed on the wall and the HO scale model Railroad layout they have. The staff was very helpful and gave me a couple of recommendations for dinner.

" The Kings of Swing Orchestra", put on a FREE show last night at "Gadsden Museum of Art."
It was a good time for all ,judging by all the applause & the standing ovation at the end!
The place was very clean - they had tables for people to sit at.
Even invited everyone to bring a cooler or pick up something at a local restaurant,to enjoy during the show!
I enjoyed the music and enjoyed the politeness of the group.
They took the time to chat with people after the show as well!
It's 5 Stars in my book!
If you get the chance,go see "The Kings of Swing Orchestra!"

Great smaller museum. Loved the history of the county exhibits. Connected to the childrens museum and looked through while waiting for kids area to open. Worth a stop while you are in the area.

I attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for "Parag's Sanctuary" on May 14th at the Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts. The new sensory inclusive room for autistic children to relax is a very unique spot. It is very colorful and a visually stimulating safe place for children. Greeting you as you first walk in are 2 rows of large assorted tiles that have colorful fluid inside that leave impressions as you walk over them, lots color changing fiber optics hanging high on some black curtains, a black light and bright green laser dots fading in and out on the white walls.
Parag Mishra and his family were there and he was very happy to have so many coming out to experience this beautiful area. His mother, Momtra Mishra authored a book "Autism: Our Journey and finding Hapiness" detailing their challenges into autism and offers much needed helpful insights as a guide.
