Very kid friendly and great for younger children. Plenty of baby swings and shorter, not to steep of slides. My toddler loves it! A bonus is the canopies over the playground, so the equipment isn’t scalding hot in the heat.

Park was nice and pavilions were large. There was a nice little Pond for the kids to play in. We had a family reunion here and it ended up pretty nice. Will use this park again.

Payson memorial park. Seems to me to be a pretty great park to sir and listen to live bands preform.
Good sound from all the bands I've heard.. nice and shaded with mature trees. This once small town had defiantly taken off since the last time I was here.
Lots of spread out picnic tables and benches to gather around and spend some good time our in the fresh air

Large lovely park with playground, basketball court, pickleball courts, stage/show area, pavilions/boweries, grass, paths, and a creek. There is lots of street parking and two small parking lots (one on the north side by the bathrooms and one on the east by the basketball and pickleball courts).

Note that there are multiple signs saying no dogs are allowed in the park.

There is a large playground with a large shade cover over the structure. The playground has a lot of slides. There are also many swings for older kids and toddlers/infants, a teeter totter, and monkey bars. There are at least six individual picnic tables in their own concrete slabs near the playground. One of the swings (a yellow younger child one) was damaged.

There appears to be one full size basketball court that had several additional hoops along the sides of the large court. There are six pickleball courts. All the courts look very nice.

There are three pavilions with picnic tables in the park. Two large ones near the basketball court each have what appears to be a charcoal grilling area (I took pictures). The largest pavilion is on the northwest corner of the park and is near a pond. None of the pavilions are next to the playground.

There is a large tiered stage with benches in the west area of the park. The benches are shaded by the lovely large trees as well as some cloth similar to what is over the playground.

In the center of the park is a large green space perfect for a game of frisbee or soccer. A creek runs past the courts and two of the pavilions on the west then along the grass/green space on the north. The creek goes under the NW pavilion and ends in a pond on the other side of the pavilion. There are a few little concrete bridges over the creek.

Fantastic place to play, have a group gathering, learn about history and more! Pavillions yes 3 different covered areas! Playground for kids yes! Big lawn area to spread out and toss a frisbee or football yes!
Drinking fountain and restrooms yes! Stage with seating for spectators, yes! Shade trees and picnic tables, Yes! Flag pole and memorial plaques, Yes! Great place to visit and stay the afternoon, YES!
Parking is easy and free, park on the curb or in the parking lot. LDS Church across the street to the west also has parking. Dumpsters and trash cans for after picnic cleanup. Tennis Court on Southeast corner, a bit rundown but always a fun time with never a wait! Running water and flushing toilets in 2 different restrooms. On Sunday evenings in the summer the Payson City Band plays tunes from 8-9pm lots of fun! Bring a chair or a blanket, or just stroll around, meeting and greeting friends! This place has lots to offer and is a gem, right in the middle of town!

Clean, family friendly park! I love that the playground has a cover that is put up in the summer to provide shade. Lots of swings and a few baby swings. There is a large grass field, tennis courts, basketball courts, several benches and picnic tables, mature trees, close parking, a pavilion that can host a large group, and cement walkways. We will definitely frequent this park.

Picturesque park near historic center of town. Mature trees and a neat little pond. During warm months, it's a great place to see live bands perform. Most of the playground equipment is covered by a sunshade (no more crazy hot slides).
