Working at Universal Technical Institute for nearly three years has been an incredibly rewarding experience! My role focuses on helping students bridge the gap between their education and career by creating tailored resumes and reaching out to potential employers in the industry on their behalf. This allows students to concentrate on graduating, knowing they have strong job leads waiting for them. It’s such a fulfilling feeling to play a part in their career journey and see their hard work turn into real opportunities!

The team here is amazing as well – everyone is genuinely supportive, and we all work together to help students in any way we can. UTI creates an environment that makes it easy to stay motivated, and I’m grateful to be part of such a dedicated group.

I love the school out in Phoenix, Arizona everybody there was willing to help no matter the issue, no matter what. When I was struggling with food I went to the food pantryand they gave me food. All the instructors were very kind very nice and willing to help you if you were struggling in the career service people help me find a job after I graduated. I will forever remember my experience and all my instructors I had. Thanks you everyone

Graduated in February 23 and this was the best decision I’ve made. I got fed up with factory and restaurant jobs and wanted to work on bikes. I’ve never had so much fun just tearing down bikes and putting them back together. The student housing on campus leaves a lot to be desired. Heard rumors that they were embezzling student’s rent money and charging additional fees. The instructors that I met in Honda and Harley are fantastic and treated me with respect. Had a lot of good memories going to school here.

I signed up and attended mmi honesty as an attempt to change my life around and let me tell you mission was accomplished…. It was definitely a life changing experience the staff was amazing while I was attending Jennifer Howard was incredible she would check on me when attendance was slipping due to personal reasons and even went out her way to help out with bus passes when I had no other way to make it to class I don’t think I would have honestly successfully finished the program with out you Jennifer if you reading this thank you so much I am for ever grateful. All the instructors are very knowledgeable in the subjects they are teaching i never felt like an instructor was teaching a class he or she shouldn’t be teaching… after graduating mmi I started working at autozone out of necessity as I was expecting a child meanwhile Erica Brantley checked on me at least twice a month asking if I was ready to submit my resume and transcript to dealerships and shops of my choice… when i was finally ready 8 months later she made it happen she found me a job at my dream location Oakland Harley Davidson… I didn’t have to do anything but answer Oakland Harley’s calls she submitted my resume and two days later they where calling me a week later I had the job!

For the past 7 years, I’ve had the privilege of working as a Career Advisor at Universal Technical Institute (UTI), where I’ve been able to help students turn their passion for motorcycles into rewarding careers. My father, Brian Lancaster, has been an instructor here for over 20 years, making it even more special to be part of such a dedicated team.

One of the most rewarding parts of my role is building relationships with employers who are looking for skilled, passionate technicians. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how highly employers regard MMI’s graduates. The technical skills, hands-on training, and professionalism instilled in our students make them stand out in the industry. It’s incredible to witness the connections and careers that grow from the relationships we build with local shops, dealerships, and companies nationwide.

I graduated 6 months ago, and can say that I miss the simplicity of being able to just show up and work on a variety of engines tailored to my interests with Harley Davidson. While the housing program is not for everyone and should truly be reviewed for security and safety concerns for its potential students, my experience with the instructors and staff overall were always accommodating to the best of their abilities for a variety of circumstances. The effort comes most when students are actively involved and engaged to the curriculum, that I could always seek out the information if I asked. From the student advisors to finance, my overall experience wishes I could dedicate more time to come back, but my time with Harley Davidson is just beginning.
