It’s a excellent location for advanced education with gorgeous scenic views and quiet environment for studying. It’s been 25 years since I graduated from this school for my Oceanography and Meteorology Master degree in 1994. The first coming back to review my old good days with very sentimental feelings and excitement to be home again. Salute to my mother home.

Beautiful historic building in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. You could spend hours just exploring the grounds. The NEX is a short walk as well as a beautiful lake with a fountain that I didn’t stop to take a photo of. We stayed over night at the Hotel Del Monte in a deluxe Queen suite. The bed was so comfortable and the room had a kitchen. The only down side was the second Queen was a pull out couch and my kids were so uncomfortable and they were freezing all night (they didn’t tell me until the morning). This was the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in!!! They have a ticket I& tours office conveniently located inside the hotel but it’s closed on weekends. There was also a restaurant and a bar. We had dinner in the bar and they were out of half of the menu and our waitress disappeared a couple of times. The staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than checking on the 3 tables of customers. There was a complimentary breakfast which I highly recommend you arrive early for because they do not restock. Once it’s out, it’s out! We found out as we were leaving our building actually connected to the main building on the bottom floor. So if we had more than one night to explode I’m sure we would have found other ways to navigate the giant property.

Absolutely an amazing Hotel! The design and layout is a walk into a different time of elegance. You can also find one of the few bars that was open during prohibition too! If you get an opportunity to go, do it.

While I wasn't here for the course in the "School of Financial Management", Civilian Federal Service, GS-13, Government Contracting Officer/Supervisory, Contract Specialist, year, 1995 & 1991, myself. My 2 professional visit was very nice. Having experience in Naval Inns and other on base amenities. Monterey has the NICEST on hotels in the area and I have ever seen. The areas and its nearby so closely to the beautiful SF Bay Area is not very far away, and nice. Great areas to live and place to visit.
