Job corps as a program is great and some of its programs can be amazing. I know the one in Minnesota used to be great, although I've heard it's changed a lot. In general job corps is usually hated by most recruits and almost all staff, but that does not mean the service provided is not of great value. People come out of these programs with a huge amount of knowledge and opportunities. The massive downside is the staff are bound by endless red tape and the students tend to be ignored or bullied by the administration for expressing some form of individuality or growth into an adult. In general worth it but frustrating and can be difficult for the extremely independent. WARNING...you will hate while you're there but miss it once your gone!
