My daughter has been doing gymnastics at Noma’s going on 5 years and she loves it!! They don’t only coach skills, but the entire staff from the front desk to the owner are fully devoted to the girls and teach them valuable life lessons. Several of the coaches are current or retired teachers so know exactly how to work with children. They hold a plethora of individual and team state and regional titles! Hands down the best in our area!

Y'all, my daughter loves gymnastics, and this is the only place close so we tried to make it work.

They won't let parents in to come watch if you have other children under the age of 13 (for reasons IDK, they have a completely separate viewing area on the second floor that was used prior to COVID). So you don't *really* get a view of what they're teaching or how they're treating your child (unless you happen to be unaccompanied and can score a limited "visitor pass").

My daughter even asked if she could show up early to watch the more advanced teams and learn. They told us ABSOLUTELY NOT. They don't even want younger gymnasts watching the older ones to learn.

Prepare to be relegated to a car rider line where you get to experience gymnastics from a drive-through perspective. Sad part is you don't really have any other local options.

With that said, my daughter did really enjoy the instruction and gained skills, strength, and competency.

My daughter went here for 2 years. Was great at first, but then all the coaches ever do is yell at the kids when the do something wrong except Casey. Noma yanked my child arms down one day pretty hard. Very unprofessional. Her coach Casey was awesome, wish we could just use her. They also give special treatment to the ones that have money. If you don't have money they can be really rude to your child. They yell at them if they cry even when they get hurt and they let kids still compete when injured and sick. One child had the Flu and they let her go compete at a competition with lots of other kids there. Way to go get everyone sick with the flu ?. My daughter is so much happier not being there.

My daughter began classes at about 3 1/2 years old and has progressed to the level one team at 5. I want to mention that taking gymnastics was always her idea, and her mother and I have only tried to support her.
The recreation class is just that it is basic forward rolls , etc. There are classes for younger students, but they do not do the "FUN" stuff that a lot of the more tumble related places do. The coaches are evaluating the child's ability to not only tumble, but pay attention, and learn the fundamentals of competitive gymnastics.
Kids that have stayed with the program have really developed their talents. The overall goal is not for the students to stay in a rec class, but to progress to the team. There are other places that focus more on the tumbling aspects, and do not really bring the core skills into the picture until the child is older. That is amazing for some children. I think a lot of the time the parents are looking to have an exercise for their child, Noma's is more for the child that wants to learn gymnastics, not for the parents who are looking for a place to sit while the child plays.

We used this gym for 11 months and in that time we were very disappointed and also deeply disturbed by things we witnessed. If your child wants to excel at competitive gymnastics this is NOT the place. During our time at this gym we witnessed many unprofessional moments. The owner Noma and her wife Diane yell at the staff in front of the children and parents and always made us uncomfortable hearing them talk so unprofessionally out in the open, conversations should have taken place in private. We witnessed Noma poking young girls in the belly and yelling at them about their eating habits. Noma also made level 2 and up drink protein shakes which are highly unhealthy for young children's growing bodies and organs. Noma puts the parents to work as coaches, they do not make them become USGA certified, and we witnessed a large portion of her teams suffer injuries due to lack of knowledge by coaches. Routines were taught differently from coach to coach and the kids suffer due to lack of consistancy. Our final straw was the day Diane decided to become enraged toward another coach, days after an alleged physical altercation, Diane was in the middle of the floor screaming and was told to be quiet but she could not control her rage and this was taking place in front of my seven year old daughter and I found the behavior to be completely unaccetable. Diane also alleged that she would bring a gun into the gym and shoot the coach whom she had a physical and verbal altercation with. I do not take threats of gun violence lightly and we immediatly found our daughter another gym. Noma has also refused to provide us with phyical items that we purchased, nor will she provide a refund for the items or the credit of money that we had in our account. Bottom line is Noma's Gym is a hotbed for fraud, injury, and complete unprofessionalism, as well as psychologically dangerous for young girls with developing body image. I wish I had pictures to post because the gym is filthy as well. The area for toddlers is not cleaned weekly and always looks dusty and there are massive trash piles under the bleachers, very unsanitary. Noma has a high rate of turnover of coaches and from the things I witnessed in 11 months I am not surprised, this gym is horrific...

My sister went here and they were laughing and making jokes at her when she did something wrong. Terrible coaching too.
