The library is fine but I want to write to our experience with the toddler time they offer at the library. It feels like the readers are out of touch. I cringe at their book selections, long, boring books where they expect the toddlers to sit and be quiet. All of the readers are older women who seem to be from the generation that wants to see and not hear children. When we attend a story time specifically for toddlers, I anticipate noises, interaction, and age appropriate expectations and activities. It seems like they need to take a note from Logan and Smithfield story time that have been much more welcoming, interactive, and parent/child friendly. Additionally, I don’t know if they ever vacuum the carpet they put out for story time and I think that is a bare minimum expectation to prevent our kids from crawling all over ice salt that gets tracked in.

Update 1 year later: no improvements have been made to story time. Weird religious books specific to the major religion in Utah have been read. I would be ok with religious text if they included a variety of religions. This isn’t nursery, this isn’t church, this is a public library with people of various faiths and beliefs.

They are all so friendly! Kim is so thorough and so incredibly helpful!
Today she remembered not only my children by name, she remembered my name as well, and we’ve only lived in North Logan a few short months!
I love their programs, and we are so lucky to have such an awesome library and such a great staff!

I love libraries and North Logan Library is no exception! I think others need to realize the shift that has happened with libraries...they are no longer meant to be the quiet tombs of olden days. They are meant for people to discover, read, enjoy, gather, use computers, play games, etc. This library is small so you will most definitely hear noise and children squealing and playing. It is unfortunate they did not plan any sounds proof study rooms into the design...but I am sure that will come with the new library in the future. If you want a good quiet room, I suggest Hyrum library which is also wonderful. ***Update*** they now have a study pod! I used it today. Blocks out sound and I could talk on my phone without feeling like I was bothering anyone else.

I am excited to see they have started clearing the ground and construction for the new addition and community center!

Most people with negative experience base their bad rating on the fact that the library is loud. You have to realize that the majority of the library's clientele are families with small children. If you need a quiet place to work, this place is not for you.

I love their movie selection and the wide array of activities that take place throughout the year. Think of this place more as a community center than the steriotystere library.
