I love this school so much! The teachers have so much respect for the kids and the kids have respect for the teachers. It shows! My kids want to go to school and do well because they feel supported and cared for. When asked if they like school, my kids say "I love it". They haven't said that since 3rd grade. It is a huge change from the public school my kids were in before!

This school was an absolute joke and a waste of four years of education. The administration does not care about anything other than wearing your school i.d. I was in a car accident and they tried to fail me my senior year for missing school when I had a concussion and couldn’t come in (even when they told me to stay home and I wouldn’t be penalized.) The staff is terrible and teachers bully each other to the point where some leave. If the teachers don’t agree with the slightest thing they’re out. The male security guard will follow you in and out of the bathroom and follow you around the school. Some teachers even bully their students with no remorse. One of the deans should’ve stayed a gym teacher because he has no idea how to deal with students situations. However, Ms Bryant is the nicest woman I’ve ever met. The guidance counsolers are useless. Someone was having an anxiety attack and they took over an hour to arrive. Most of the English teachers are amazing and I have so much respect for them. I had no idea what my principal looked like until she was calling my name for graduation. If you’re thinking of sending your children here do not.

This would be a decent school if they git rid of the principal, superintendent, some guidance counselors, some deans, and most importantly the "new and improved" chickenshit hardheaded security monitor guy. Ive heard many stories of illegal money funneling under the administration of Mr. David Dibarri, who i would advise to make an official statement, because that money could be going to useful things to make the school a better place.
The money the school does spend, goes towards broken shop equiptment, golf carts for the security, and fundraising programs that nobody cares about.
As far as treatment of the teens, i felt as if i was walking on eggshells. I feel as if the rules were set up by these "new age" liberal snowflakes who let guys into the girls room. I didnt know my principal until the day of graduation. The ID policy was one step short of having to tattoo numbers to my forearm. Punishments were given unjustly and routinely. The teacher they forced to punish us even knew it was wrong, but they feared for their reputation because apparently the teachers bully each other out of the school.

I only gave more than one star because i still met some really cool kids and a few teachers were really down to earth.

THE ADMINISTRATION IS RACIST.

Total meh experience, the only reason i finished high school is because i enjoyed my shop, which i must confess was mostly because we were able to sneak games onto the computers, felt like i was worthless a lot of the time and only rarely enjoyed going into school. only rejoice i could have was senior year being in STEM, now THAT was freaking awesome, other than that this place is basically a Teen Prison (Many students in my classes referred to it as "Northeast Penitentiary"). plus the id policy makes the Nazis look lax on having identification papers. if you are on your last legs dealing with academics go here the week on week of shop system is a nice break. but other than that, find another place. It will be time more well spent.

Do you want to hear a joke?
This school.

I have absolutely had it with this school.

This school cares more about one person getting "cyberbullied" with no evidence to support their statement, than a student getting bullied INSIDE OF THE SCHOOL to the point where they feel like harming themselves and had complete evidence and even people to support his statement. No dean or teacher OR EVEN THE PRINCIPAL AND GUIDANCE COUNSELOR went into action to help the situation. They told the student to basically "do it on your own" and wanted the kids to do mediation together. On top of this, the bullies did not even get punished for their actions and got off the hook. They wanted the students to just forget what happened.

Please, if you are thinking about bringing your child here, dont. Complete waste of time and money. Kids get into more trouble for not wearing an ID than they do with anything else. The thing I find absolutely ridiculous is that you need a lanyard with your ID. You can't even wear it with a clip and even if you have Your ID without a lanyard you get a 3 hour. Honestly the kids at this school are treated like children. The worst thing is paying 3 dollars for one piece of food? The food isn't even good and they don't give you a lot. The lunch ladies yell at you if you don't grab a juice with your food even if you have milk. They force you to grab a juice to "be healthy" but they don't even give you a good proportioned meal. They only care about money than a student who needs food. Some kids don't even get fed at home. Another thing is that if you have YOUR hall pass but it's not the right color, you get detention. I feel as though I have wasted 4 years here. I would've learned a lot more at another school. "Act like adults!" Well then don't treat us like children.

Let me start off by saying this: Northeast Metro Tech is the epitome of grundle. The dean, Mr. O'Brien, was a gym teacher and only got promoted because he had connections. O'Brien is an absolute clown who walks around like he is important while wearing dress clothes, when just two years ago he was wearing a track suit. The new principal, who never introduced herself is hated by almost everyone in the school. I don't even know what her name is or what she looks like, all I know is that she changed a bunch of rules and screwed the students over. The school ID policy is ridiculous, and to enforce it they hired another useless idiot to stand around and "check" for ID's. When I say check I mean that I could hang an onion ring from my lanyard and they wouldn't notice that it wasn't an ID. They take security so seriously, but students from other schools have been able to enter through the back door and spend hours with their friends shop. This school has really fell apart in the last four years, and will only continue to crumble. Impeach O'Brien.

This school is a joke. Mr O'Brien the dean is not very good at his job and the old dean should definitely help the new dean out. They will give you 3 hours of detention if they even think your looking at your phone, which is a joke. There academic classes are severely under funded. They put more money into the 2 security guards and multiple cameras at this school then they do for academic's. There shops are ok they seem to have enough money for the basic shop needs.

Mr Lilley was a great dean. Mr O'Brien does nothing. He's a gym teacher. Not a Dean. He's a clown, Not a good man for the job. Mrs Bryant is great for her job. She's nice. Mrs Barrata is moody and annoying. Can't stand her. Love the school. The InHouse lady most kids complain about but No, She's really nice, just don't piss her off. Love the teachers, Esp the Graphics gang. Very polite and nice individuals.
