I ran into Jules on Maui when she was over for vacation and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I asked her for a little business coaching and employee mediation because my bookkeeper and I were not getting along. She began that process but as she went along, she discovered bigger issues. It was the end of January and transactions had not be entered into my database since November. My accountant was pushing for reports and that was where the disagreement with my bookkeeper started. I also learned that nothing had been filed since that time.
To make a very long difficult processes short, my bookkeeper walked with no notice, and Jules extended her vacation 6 weeks to get my in shape. She had to rebuild my database for the entire year, reconcile all my accounts, create an actual filing system, and deal with a Department of Labor audit with no notice. All the while, keeping my business running and getting my reports to the accountant. When it came time for her to hire a local replacement, I decided I would rather have her continue remotely. She set that up as well and for the last three years has taken care of my contracting business remotely, coming over twice a year to clean up the little things and get all the filing done and audits performed.
She and her son are ALWAYS available by text for questions from me or any of my 30 employees. We contracted to lock in two half days a week for virtual calls and work, but she will always take on extra projects when necessary.
