If you’re looking for a good church in Oregon City — look no further. Every time I come here, I can barely get through worship without crying because THE HOLY SPIRIT MOVES IN THIS PLACE….. Even with just a humble 4 or 5 piece band. And then you get to the message and WOW….. the sermon sticks with me throughout my week. I particularly love one important aspect of this church—they don’t force fake fellowship by making me awkwardly talk to people during the service, rather, fellowship just happens naturally as it should be. so if you’re an introvert like me, you don’t have to feel nervous about coming for the first time, or coming back after a long time. If you need prayer—you’ll get it. Lots of prayer circles happen after the service. OCEC has great programs for kids and “prime-timers” and everyone in-between. Come check it out!

Okay. Possibly this is my rebellion to the two 1 star reviews I saw here when trying to share the directions to this church with a friend... I have been to mega churches, charismatic churches, conservative churches, liturgical churches, underground churches and churches in over 20 countries. My little family and I have been going here just a few short months and frankly think this church carries a personality that is kind, pure of heart, sensitive and receptive to newcomers but not pushy in the slightest. I was hooked the first week despite being exhausted. People introduced themselves, they looked after my children and were sensitive to their food allergies. The kids LOVE it because the minders and teachers care. They have a sizeable children’s library and reading nook. And that’s not even the best of it. They are mission focused, sincere and prayerful. The new pastor “brings it” in a way that is not emotionally charged but thoughtful, Biblically sound and challenging. I have been to churches that preach through the Bible before but usually the pastor throws his own random stuff into the mix in a way that I feel detracts from the message. Not so with this Pastor. He digs into the Scripture and shares it like you would share a proper foodie-worthy home cooked masterpiece with friends. Honest, rich and meticulously prepared. The worship leader frankly has a voice that makes me cry tears of joy that God even makes people like her, and even though she could hold it on her own she seems to be mentoring someone consistently and is incredibly humble. This place is a diamond in the rough. The real deal. I wouldn’t hesitate to invite any and all my friends here. These people are pure gold. We attend the 10:45 family service.
