When it was time to select a daycare for our first and only daughter at the end of 2018, my wife and I did our due diligence and agreed that Our Children’s House (affectionately known as OCH) was both our 1st choice. From the very first visit just seeing the warm, family environment and how our daughter interacted with the teachers that choice was confirmed. From that day, until now, August 2024, as we prepare for our daughter’s final days at OCH as she gets ready to start kindergarten…that choice has been confirmed again and again. OCH isn’t a daycare/childcare center…at least not in the traditional sense. They’ve somehow managed to capture the balance of the warmth and intimacy of your own home while maintaining the elements to be a 5-star center. We watched them nurture, teach, love, and take care of our daughter like their own. Because of the low teacher/child ratios and small class sizes, the teachers actually got to know her, her allergies, her tantrums sometimes (lol), her development, her growth…and everything in between. We love OCH and my wife and I are eternally grateful that our daughter spent some of the most formative years of her life in a place where she could be herself and was loved. If you’re looking for not just a daycare, but somewhere your child will be seen and safe…you’re looking for OCH. ?

We love OCH so much. We found OCH through a friend after we made the tough decision to remove our children from a daycare that was not providing the kind of care we were looking for. After joining OCH, I fell in love with the school and the care the teachers provide my kids. OCH is a smaller center and the teacher to student ratios are small which really allows the teachers to give the kids the love and attention they need throughout the day to feel welcome and regulated. OCH was recently re-certified as a 5 star center which goes beyond what I thought a daycare could provide! I love to see the creative way they teach the kids the weekly topics vs. worksheets or teacher curated crafts. They learn through play and the teachers work on social emotional learning and helping the kids learn how to regulate when they are upset. Additionally, it is a co-op daycare, meaning the parents have active involvement in the success of the school. We moved to the area in 2023, and I realized almost all of our friends are parents from the daycare. Listening to other parents talk yesterday about not having "mom friends," I mentioned all my mom friends are from our daycare and my friend replied: "that's because your daycare encourages parents to get to know each other! Mine is just drop him off, see you later." She's right - we have monthly get togethers with the other parents and kids and it's a great way to make new parent friends, which can be so hard these days. All of that is to say, we love OCH and I wouldn't consider sending my kids elsewhere.

My son absolutely loved OCH, not only did he have SO much fun everyday, his teacher was awesome! She provided daily pictures of what the class was doing. He has grown so much developmentally and with his fine/gross motor Skills!!

If you're looking for a place that is way more than just a daycare, this is it!
I wish I'd had the chance to send my daughter to a place like this, but I didn't find out about our children's house until a few years ago. The amount of creative activities my child does is just incredible. The kids are not lumped in with the maximum amount per teacher with staff stretched incredibly thin as I've seen in the past with my older child. The daycare I had my son in while I waited on the waiting list didn't even have an outdoor play area for the younger age group because they felt it wasn't 'safe.' Here there's a separate area for the youngest group so they can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine too! Not only do I feel my child is safe, he's also HAPPY and well adjusted to being here while I'm at work and I can relax knowing he's having a blast and learning so much. I get photos and texts every day from the staff. Parental involvement is well above average, which helps make this place so wonderful. I'm so grateful my family gets to be a part of this. They really are like a little family here!

My wife and I are really grateful our Our Children's House. It's really close to home and where we work, which makes our daily lives so much easier. Beyond that, OCH is super communicative and transparent. They send messages with updates on our child but also about the school. And, if you want them to, they will even post pictures to a private FB group so you can see what the little kiddos were doing throughout the day. We always look forward to those little photo essays!

Our daughter has turned into a more curious, outgoing, fun loving girl because of OCH. She was always shy, and still is, but I can see a huge difference in how she plays and interacts with her peers and adults.

I love the small class size and how long each teacher has been with OCH. The communication is wonderful and I feel so safe and happy having my daughter here. I love having the opportunity to be involved in the school and how parent involved it is.

We have had our daughter in several different school now (due to Covid) so I can say, this is by far the best she has been to. I highly recommend this school!

We absolutely love Our Children's House. The teachers are creative, caring educators who challenge the children in a nurturing way. Curriculum is linked to each child's needs and is play based. We also love the family feeling of OCH. Parents support the school and each other. It's truly a family environment. AND OCH received a 5 start rating again this year with its best score yet! Kudos to all the teachers and staff that make this daycare/preschool such a special place.

Our daughter went to and our son goes to OCH. This schools with its smaller and more focused view on raising and encouraging kids growth is unparalleled. I cannot imagine our kids going anywhere else. The center does a great job of creating a community of friends and the teachers treat the kids as family. The growth we saw in our daughter when we moved here from another center was immeasurable. Spots are limited so if you can get in, definitely send your kids here.
