Oxbow is something that I needed and the skills that I leaned will forever help me. Oxbow treats their boys with care and respect. The staff are amazing and care so much about what they are doing. The care and dedication of the whole team helping and supporting my son is beyond any of my expectations. The clinical, residential and educational teams have all been outstanding. I am seeing such growth and maturity in my son since he has been in treatment at Oxbow. He is setting personal goals for himself and is progressing at his own pace with the support and encouragement of the staff. I also appreciate the work he is doing with the horses with equine therapy and also their incredible music program.

Oxbow saved my sons life. The people who work there are dedicated, truly invested in the boys who are undergoing treatment. Leaving your son at an RTC is possibly the most difficult thing you will ever endure, but Oxbow did their best to walk us through the lowest points of our lives with compassion and hope. Although this is one business I hope to never repeat business with, I would recommend them completely and without hesitation. My son walked away from this place with confidence and competency he did not have when he went, and furthermore, with relationships he genuinely hopes to continue throughout his whole life. Forever indebted to the entire team there.

As a former peer mentor and student a couple years ago my biggest lesson I learned here was empathy. To understand a persons emotions and sense their true intention thru thoughtful observations. Being aware of not only your own actions and emotions but also of those around you is key to building and keeping lasting relationships. I had a lot of up’s and downs, achievements and set backs but with the encouragement of the staff, peers, and family I was able to overcome those obstacles. We all grow up eventually and the opportunity for romantic relationships will be present. Oxbow teaches their students to learn how to control their emotions and behavior so they in the future can be a responsible adult and future partner in their personal relationships.

When we took our son to Oxbow, it was our only option. It turned out to be the best option for him and our family. He grew and learned so much about himself and gained tools to navigate life. He took accountability for himself amd became more self aware. He is a different person than when he started and I am so grateful for this program and the staff that helped him. Oxbow Academy is an amazing program. It has amazing staff therapist school administrators and the executive team and admin team is amazing. They care about the students and want the only best for them. The food is good in the conditions of the places are amazing.
