After I’m just kicking me out of the college for no reason except for the professor Dr. Davis was allowed to bully me. I was denying my rights to have any legal advocate to stand up to me. I would never recommend this college. Let along the social work program if you wanna be like me and spend a lot of money and get zero results then go to this college and attend the social work program to top it all off. They decided that it was acceptable for me to pay for the class. they kicked me out of here proof there’s a lot of other colleges. They’re actually friendly professors. They actually work with the students not Pacific college.

This has been the most frustrating and disappointing experience I’ve ever had with a school. Communication is virtually nonexistent—they don’t respond to emails or phone calls, leaving students completely in the dark. Despite my efforts to get answers, I was met with silence at every turn. After a disastrous first term, I decided to withdraw, but even that process was a nightmare. It required escalating my concerns to the dean just to make any progress. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this school to anyone. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

First class in the first semester was okay. The teacher was available when I got stuck. However, second class in first semester was unavailable most of the time. Did not return emails. I had to contact my chair and dean of students to get any help. This should not happen. The professor was also unavailable when I needed explain of the material that was left on canvas. It is rude to let a student flail when they need help and are paying for your salary. When we had zoom meetings she never smiled and never made me feel at ease as a student. It was like we were a bother. I withdrew from this school as there is just too much red tape in becoming a teacher in the most expensive state of California. Spend your money elsewhere....

As a current student of this school, I would strongly advise searching elsewhere. From the start, many aspects of the enrollment process have been misleading. I will say the staff members are extremely friendly. However, there is no communication or follow-up from counselors, the layout of classes was misleading from the start, and honestly, everything is a bit old school. I truly feel that I was misled completely and everything should have seemed too good to be true from the start. As someone who chose to do online classes as opposed to in-person, I was surprised to see how much there is miscommunication between professors and those who create the program in general. Professors are hit and miss as well, you either have the ones who nitpick and dock every point or you get those who give full credit for everything you turn in. You are truly on your own when it comes to your own education, which to me is not worth the $$$ you pay for. It is really like you are teaching yourself, and all the school does is give you a grade and a diploma. I would not recommend this school to anyone considering the cost, experience, and lack of a true learning experience.

The IRB process at Pacific Oaks College is an absolute nightmare. It is filled with bureaucratic red tape, delays, and incompetence. The staff are unhelpful and unresponsive, making it nearly impossible to get your research project approved in a timely manner. The process is convoluted and confusing, leading to frustration and wasted time. Save yourself the headache and avoid Pacific Oaks College's at all costs. It is a complete joke and a disgrace to academic research.

The office and advisors are a mess! They put me on academic dismissal without telling me and did it because my advisor failed to tell me that i needed to get an A on my next class. I then petitioned it and found that they never filed the paperwork and only did so when i called to see my status. Not only that, they then accepted me but everyone who was involved in my case had no clue what was going on. To top it all off when i did come back into school they put me on the wrong probation , preventing me from getting financial aid. The office is so disorganized and has no clue what's going on. Go somewhere else!!!!!

Terrible experience with this money hungry school. Financial aid claimed I owed more money for my undergraduate classes - come to find out the financial aid department had me down as a student in their graduate program. I caught this mistake. NOT financial aid. I went through at least 4 different financial aid "advisors" and none of them could figure out why I owed money as an undergraduate student. The Vice President of the school called to try to make the situation right, but mostly tried to convince me to come back to the school. Very weird situation and showed that all they care about is the money.

I was accepted and was on my way to transfer when I found out just how misleading this school is. I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned and you would think that this school would be on top of it but no. I still have not even received a call back on when this money will be returned. I would be very careful with this school. I am sure in the past this school was a top notch school but after my experience it seems as if it is just about the money and not the education.
