My daughter graduated in 2010 and my son is attending as a sophomore this year. I love this school and my children do too. I love the diversity, and both of my kids say that all of the students are kind. Bullying is unheard of. They are all very accepting of each other no matter what your color, disability, nerd or jock (for lack of other words..... might as well say it like it is) It's not small but it's not as huge as some other high schools. Their CREST program is amazing, the culinary program can not be topped, west mec classes are available, and dual enrollment college credit classes are offered. Keep up the good work PV! I would recommend this school to anyone trying to decide between schools in the area.

Overall, this school is amazing.

-The student environment is diverse and allows for anyone to find friends with the various clubs found on campus.
-The students themselves are, for the most part, very open and accepting. Open bullying is unheard of, and students are free to pursue their interests as they see fit.
-Students gain practical experience in many subjects, such as Bioscience, Engineering, and Coding through the CREST Program, Woodworking, Metal Working, Culinary, Business, Nursing Assisting, Child Development, Forensics, and more that I'm missing.
-PV is a Career and Technical Education powerhouse. Students in CREST become CTE certified, and students in the Clinical Nursing program become registered CNAs before they graduate. Between the CREST and Nursing HOSA Chapters we took 4 out of 9 and 5 out of 7 spots on the Arizona HOSA Student Executive Board for the last two years, alongside producing the first International President of HOSA from Arizona.
-The block schedule is a blessing. It makes courses easy to manage and keeps work from piling up in most classes. You still get a lot of work in honors and AP classes, but it's much better to only have 4 of them than 7 at another school. It's one of the best parts of this school, and I honestly don't know what I'd do without it.
-The teachers are top quality, with even many teachers, ranging from regular to honors to AP level, taking time to create engaging, challenging, and fair curriculums for students. Many teachers are also very experienced in their fields, further deepening their knowledge of their subjects and what you can learn from them. I can say that I've never hated any teacher I've had at PV
-I'm sure there's more to list here, but I don't want this review to get too long.

The only reason this review is four stars is because, while being amazing, PV isn't without it's faults. It's a high school just like any other, which means that there is drama and teen angst and all of that, which isn't fun in the slightest. But you get what you give, so you can largely stay away from that if you try.

I rate a 9/10.

I called numerous times and left voice messages, never received a call back... So my child and I go to the school, we weren't acknowledged at the Guidance Center nor do they have a sign in sheet. Other parents and students were helped before us. I'm not happy and definitely not enrolling my daughter here.

I left there in 1980 . and i will always be thankful to the teachers i had. Without them i would not be who i am today. And thank you to those of you i considered my friends. We have lost touch over the years but you too had a part in who i became.

Like any other school really but the fact that they have the CREST program there does make them a little special.
