Play Matters has been a huge gift to our family. Our son, who normally is very hesitant about new situations, immediately was comfortable with Naomi and loves the nurturing space she has set up. After day one, it was his favorite place, and it's harder to pick him up than to drop him off. We feel so good knowing that he has a space where he feels really seen and supported and is able to thrive. Naomi does beautiful work with children to ensure that each of them is cared for and that they are able to learn how to communicate with each other and trust each other. Couldn't recommend her more highly!

Our daughter has been at Play Matters Preschool for the last year and it has been such a wonderful experience! Naomi has a true and skilled passion for early childhood and what it takes to help little ones thrive. Her school fosters and promotes exploration, learning, experimentation, and imaginative play. I cannot recommend Play Matters enough! Our 2 year old loves the outdoors and here he gets to make mud and potions and use shovels and rakes. He is thrilled to go to school every day. The small class size also means everybody gets enough attention and nobody gets lost in the shuffle. Unfortunately there aren’t many outdoor play-focused options like this in the Sacramento Area so we felt very lucky to find it and to get in. Naomi even makes her own handcrafted wooden toys for the kids!…what more can I say?

I'm so happy I found Play Matters Preschool. This is a place where your child can soar. My son jumps out of the car when we arrive and is actively engaged for the whole time he's there. At Play Matters, children are given freedom to explore and learn and play on their own terms...with supportive and gentle guidance from Naomi. I have the funniest before and after photo from my son's first day last summer. He came home covered in dirt and smiling ear-to-ear. Naomi is a dream. You won't find a better provider anywhere. I did a lot of research to find the best place for our family, but as soon as I found Play Matters, I knew I'd found *the* one. A full-time preschool would have been more convenient for my work schedule; however, I make it work because this is absolutely the best place for my children.

I couldn’t recommend Play Matters more. Naomi & the assistants truly love and care for all the kids as if they were their own. I was a stay at home mom for two years before I went to work & needed daycare for my daughter so it’s safe to say I was VERY picky and apprehensive about daycare in the first place. I felt like I wasn’t going to be able to trust anyone with my daughter. Until I met Naomi and went on a tour of the preschool, my daughter was immediately comfortable and Naomi was insanely kind and informative. Enrolling my daughter in Play Matters is hands down one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! My daughter has grown and learned so much since starting and she truly learns something new each day. There’s no other preschool I trust. The quality of care & eduction at Play Matters is unbeatable and I’ve seriously cried over feeling so lucky to have such attentive people looking out for my little one. In just a couple months my daughter went from knowing a few words and being very intimidated by other kids to forming full sentences and having little besties. She used to sit in silence when we went to the park and felt uncomfortable interacting with other kids and now she jumps right in & makes friends wherever we go. Naomi is more than just my daughters teacher, she’s become part of my village and she personally connects with each family she works with.

Naomi goes above and beyond for the kids in her preschool. Everything is well thought out and researched to give them the best experience especially during these early years. You can see her heart and soul in every aspect of her preschool from the hand made toys, the interaction down to the snacks. If you are able to reserve a spot in her school you are one of the lucky ones that will know your kids are in the absolute best loving hands possible.

We have had our son at Play Matters for six months since just after his first birthday to now when he is 18 months. We switched him from another daycare that he never warmed to, and he has loved Play Matters since the beginning. He is always happy to see Miss Naomi, and give her hugs and blow kisses. she worked to accommodate our nap needs and make sure he was comfortable. I love how much outside time he gets and how engaged he is with the activities they do. We feel like Play Matters is part of our family and I can’t recommend it enough.

Naomi is one of a kind! Her dedication is unbelievable and her space magical! She brings out the best in the children. My daughter thrives here! She has a simple yet very intentional space. It is clear she has put a lot of thought into her program to invoke the mind, heart and soul of all the kids.
