One of the best-curated shops i've ever been in. You won't just find the traditional surf and skate brands you'd see at the mall - they carry a surprising number of indie brands as well - and the staff is nice and knowledgeable. A hidden gem for sure.

Really well run surf shop with great people. Board selection is quite good and staff is very knowledgable and helpful. They know how to serve a very wide range of surfers well from the best to beginners. Probably the best shop I've ever been to actually.

surfboard list says updated daily, drove in and board wasnt there. No "sorry about that". The price was listed at $795 then ended up paying $850 for a 6 10" instead of a 6 8" . Overall fine interaction except zero acknowledgment of the inconvenience of the list not having a 6 8" but having a 6 10 instead but the price being higher. Too much attitude too for dropping 1k in the store even though i know margins arent the highest on boards. Go to aqua in the city, much nicer and not the attitude for zero reason. Oh yeah they dont give reciepts unless requested so dont forget to ask for your receipt..

Just a long overdue thank you to Proof Lab in general for being such an awesome community member, and the staff in particular. We buy a lot of stuff here and our two kids have been involved with skate and surf camps they sponsor over the years. But today, Cody in particular really came through with a customer service issue that went above and beyond. I had bought a new soft-top board for my son for a surf trip to Panama, the board delaminated terribly after a day of use. Super bummed. Went into the shop to see about a warranty and the manufacturer was being difficult in not wanting to cover or replace the board, which surprised me and everyone at Proof Lab since this was a very well known and top surfboard manufacturer. Cody was embarrassed as to the manufacturers handling of this and said "let me just give you a replacement, we will eat the costs, I want you to be happy". It made me super uneasy as I didn't want this to fall on proof lab as it was not their doing. But Cody insisted, and as karma works, as I was walking out with the replacement board, the manufacturer called back to tell Cody they would be sending the shop a replacement board. Seems even the manufacturers know that Proof Lab is a super high integrity operation and they wanted to keep them happy too. They know how to treat their customers and community. Thank You Proof Lab!

Super friendly staff set me up with my first board and it was a great experience. Noah was super knowledge, stoked to help a beginner, and took a lot of time to explain everything. This is a big store with gear, apparel and a cool, laidback atmosphere. Support you local surf shop!

This shop is great. It is the best surf shop I've been to in Nor Cal and beats most small So Cal shops. What I love about this shop most is the lack of ego from the staff when it comes to helping out customers (in this case me). I'm not the most talented of surfers, but Nate (the owner) and his staff were not pushy at all when it came to selling me gear or a board. In fact they sent me away to work on some fundamentals when I was very willing TO buy. This is a shop you can trust to take care of you and that has your best interest in mind. I've since bought two boards over the past couple of years and a various other gear. This shop has earned my trust and loyalty and I would send anyone there.
