Needed some heavy duty sewing to reinforce some very old heavy duty straps. Wasn't sure where to go with them. Stopped at Quantum Sails. Talked briefly with a very pleasant front desk person. We had Quantum sails and Canvas make a custom screen enclosure for our son’s fishing boat. The quality and detail is unparalleled and exceeded our expectations. This was not an easy install that required removal screening with HD zippers that would allow easy access to the cockpit for fishing. Again, thank you for making us a bug free yacht!

I dropped off a 68d silnylon tent that had ripped apart on the seams at the peak. They did a great job sewing it back together stronger than new.

I dropped off a second tent, camouflage, to have a stove jack sewn in. The very next day it was finished and ready for pick up. pics of both tents included.

I decided that it was time to replace the headsail on my Catalina 270.
I did a bunch of research and considered a number of online sail lofts.
I also of course went to visit Doug Burtner at Quantum Sails on Hudson Ave. In Rochester. Doug has repaired sails for me over the years back to when they were Haarstick Sails. He also built a fantastic Bimini for me about 5 years ago.
I ultimately ordered my new headsail from Doug, and here’s why:
Doug took a great deal of time with me to be certain I was going to get the sail that was right for my boat and for the type of sailing I do. He analyzed my current headsail and was able to point out design issues that had been hindering the boat’s performance.
This new sail is truly a custom piece thanks to Doug’s excellent design work.
I’ll follow up after we try her out on the race course!
