I was very ill so I went there without an appointment. nobody was in the waiting room, 2 cars in the parking lot but those patients were waiting on mental health. My Doctor refused to examine me without appointment. If you need urgent care, they do not care!
Update: here I am back again, as usual...
This facility is run by a married husband-wife team of physicians who work there. This seems highly UNETHICAL!
Ive lost partial use of my left leg.
The clinic does not return my calls.
I have to constantly call asking for badly needed appointments at the Birmingham VMC for the neurology clinic.
It appears that I'm being PUNISHED for being in pain and complaining about it.
They fill in for my doctor, who seems absent most of the time.
When one of them gets it in for you, they all do!

I am new to the VA medical system. I am so impressed by the staff at the Rainbow City, Alabama’s clinic. They went above and beyond with medical care. They treated me like a person not like just another ssn number. I wish all VA clinics were run like this one with this staff.

They couldn't care less about getting these veterans any quality care. My husband has been dealing with rude office staff and incompetent doctors long enough. Someone seriously needs to do something about this clinic. A complete overhaul is in order, I believe.
And to the lady that dismissed my husband's request to get his injured foot looked at, like it was nothing, (it's so bad, he can't even walk on it) I sincerely hope karma visits you sooner rather than later.

Administration and nursing staff was friendly. But the care manager didnt have my records, had no idea why I was there or why I was taking my medicine, and belittled me for taking the medication that once again he had no idea why I was taking. Then he didnt answer any of my questions. And finally ended with "we will have to wait on your labs", which I had already had a week prior, that they didnt test for the right thing.

I've never had a bad experience while at my VA clinic. Sometimes, it's a little trouble to get thru via phone, but I've done a walk-in appt before, and was treated promptly and kindly.

The Va in Rainbow City has the Best Staff of Workers, Nurses and My Husband's Dr. Gavino. They are very friendly and go out of their way to help my husband and they make us feel like Family!
